I couldn't agree with you more.
I also believe that any sort of quality content (i.e., original and you've conducted research before publishing your thoughts, observations, findings, hypotheses and conclusions) that you publish ANYWHERE will help you discover more of who you are. (Although I know it's much easier to create content (and use our time, energy and creative part of of brains) when we know we might earn $$$$ here at Steemit.com !)
It's great that you like it here at here at Steemit and also I think that your pic in this post with the Steemit overlay looks very cool.
