Apple has now released the iOS 13.5 update. The update contains the usually improvements and bug fixes with some new features aimed at the Covid- 19 outbreak. The update changes the way the facial recognition ID works. As many begin to wear masks, the facial ID system was unable to recognize your face. The new update immediately prompts you to enter a PIN number in place of the facial ID.
Another feature, the Covid -19 exposure notification center, enables contact tracing API for apps which will be used for contact tracing. This feature is sure to be controversial as privacy concerns grow. How much privacy do we have to give up to remain safe? Maybe it's time to dig out my old flip phone!
