Again the ingenuity of Allanic comes to the rescue. Through his resourcefulness the wicked and soulless giant is tricked and then killed, thus ensuring the safety of everyone including the King. As a reward, the King gives away his daughter in marriage to Allanic. But Allanic is not just smart, he has a kind heart too, and this is shown when he forgives his friend Fistilou who had wronged him in the past and appoints him to a very prominent position. Fewer stories have ended on a more happy note.
