Cancun and red lagoon -EN-ES- Cancun y laguna roja

¡Hello Hive community!

I remember when the name Mexico/Cancun was thrown on the table, I looked at my friends and said: Are you sure? and they all looked at me and answered, "Are you stupid?

The truth is that I had nothing in mind about this country, and honestly in my head, when I heard Mexico, robberies, kidnappings, murders by cartels came to my mind. And when I hear Cancun, I imagine a plastic beach as if it were a packaged beach, all artificial, which I didn't like to imagine either.

Both names escalated over time and got stronger and stronger until the inevitable moment came and I had to decide whether to get on that bus or get off and let the boys go. I must admit that I got on because I didn't want to miss out on having fun with them and every time we go on a trip together it's a party and there are unforgettable and super anecdotal moments. As far as the destinations are concerned I didn't like them at all but I trusted them and let myself go.

I remember that one of the things we loved and we went because we always do B side trips, was to know the Laguna Colorada. We had no idea, then we found out that it is now a tourist spot, but there were not many tourists and we went crazy when we saw the completely red water.

One day arriving to one of the beaches we found a truck on the side of the road on fire, we had to stop to see if there were people or someone to help, luckily nothing happened but the burned material.

I loved walking through the streets of the real Cancun which is not the one we see in pictures. That is the real B side and I went crazy.

We went to eat in very neighborhood places and ate tacos with Turkish style meat. We drank beers in sleazy bars with slot machines. It was like a casino but marginal, beautiful.
One of those days walking through the streets we came across a pilgrimage and we ended up going into a church to see what was going on and they were on a pilgrimage because they were remembering a saint they are devoted to and we stayed there looking at her for a while. Obviously we went to the beach, but not the popular ones in Cancun. We went to the popular ones. The ones that the Mexican people go to.

We followed big people walking down the street and saw what they were doing. We really laughed our asses off and it was a very good trip, an awesome experience. I think it was one of the best we had together.

I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

OMG I really haven't seen a car burn like this man😳😳 I'm thankful no one got hurt, how come there's so many mafia groups in these locations. Is there a specific reason for that
