Hello Everyone. This is the first article I am posting on SteemIt.
I love to travel and eat gourmet foods, and I hope to become full-fledged member of this community.
My friend and I went to San Diego on a short 1 night and 2 days trip and we departed from LA where we are currently living. We left early in the morning around 7am, and it took us less than 3 hours to drive there due to the lack of traffic in the early morning. The weather was a bit gloomy when we arrived at Sail Bay in San Diego around 10am. Fortunately for us, by the time we checked into our hotels and ate our breakfast (some authentic fish tacos-Sand bar at mission beach), the weather had transformed into a bright and beautiful sunshine day!

며칠 전, 친구와 샌디에고로 짧은 1박 여행을 다녀왔습니다. 제가 살고 있는 LA에서 이른 아침에 출발해 3시간 걸려 도착했는데 안개가 많고 어두웠어요. 아침으로 Mission beach에 있는 샌드바라는 곳에서 피쉬타코를 먹고나니 다행히 해가 쨍쨍해서 아름다운 도시의 모습을 즐길 수 있었습니다.
Seaport Village
We were able to truly appreciate the scenic beauty of this wonderful city. After breakfast, we went to Seaport Village to do some sight-seeing. Seaport Village can be described as a peaceful park right by the ocean. There are many small specialty shops that sell souvenirs there, and there are many cafés and restaurants where one can appreciate the wonderful ocean views. The park was filled with many families and children when we went.
오후에 간 '씨포트 빌리지'는 작고 귀여운 선물가게들과 레스토랑, 카페들이 있는 항구 공원인데요 날씨가 좋고 예쁘게 잘 꾸며 놓아서 아이들과 함께 온 가족들이 많았어요.
I was happy to find that there was a merry-go-round. I surprised because I hadn’t seen a merry go round in ages, and also since it spun so much faster than any merry-go-round I had ever seen. However, all of the children looked so happy.
회전목마가 있었는데 생각보다 빨리 돌아서 놀랐어요. 아이들이 타도 괜찮을까 싶었는데 타고 있던 아이들은 무척이나 즐거워 보였다.는 것에 더 놀랐습니다.
In order to get our parking tickets validated we ended up buying and sharing one ice-cream at a Ben & Jerry’s. OMG. The ice-cream was so delicious. We expected ‘Ben & Jerry’s’ ice-cream to be too sweet for us, but this ‘Chocolate-Therapy’ flavor was truly perfect. It was just the right kind of sweet with the taste of real cacao chocolate and not the usual artificial chocolate taste.
솔직히 파킹값이 아까워서 발렛이나 받자는 생각으로 'Ben Jerry's' 아이스크림을 하나 사서 나누어 먹기로 하고 '초콜렛 테라피' 맛을 골랐는데, 세상에 너무 맛있었어요. 너무 달지도 않았고 정말 이름이 아깝지 않은 맛이어서 둘다 감탄하며 먹었습니다. 공원가면 항상 많은 "Ben Jerry's'. 공원에서 파는 아이스크림은 너무 달고 맛이 없었던 기억에 먹어보기를 피하다가 처음 먹어보았는데 정말 맛있었어요.
We also took a nice walk by the port. There were many yachts, and children who flying kites with their family. The sun was shining, and it was ever so peaceful there.
샵들 골목골목 걷다가 바닷가로 나와 항구 끝까지 걸었습니다. 요트도 많고 연을 날리는 가족도 있었는데 무척 평화로운 분위기였어요
And then we went back to our hotel to rest. For dinner, we went to a fantastic restaurant in Little Italy which I am going to introducing on my next post. Little Italy was definitely a very hip and trendy town that I really enjoyed.
상쾌한 바닷바람 마시며 ‘씨포트 빌리지’에서 힐링하고 호텔로 돌아와 쉬다 저녁에 리틀 이탈리아 안에 있는 아주 훌륭했던 레스토랑에 갔었는데 그 곳은 다음 포스트에 소개해 드릴게요.
La Jolla Cove
The next day we visited ‘La Jolla Cove’ as we were driving back to LA. It was really beautiful and definitely worth a trip there. There was a very low hanging mysterious cloud there that was mixed in with the ocean fog. Also, there were a lot of the sea-lions and seals there. I especially loved the color of the sea which was a transparen light blue color which was perfect for scuba diving and seeing what was underneath.
다음날 돌아오는 길에 라호야 코브에 잠깐 들렀습니다. 무척 짧은 여행이 아쉬워서 돌아가다 유명한 곳이라기에 잠깐 구경하자, 하고 갔는데 탄성이 절로 나올만큼 아름다운 곳이었어요. 해가 아주 좋은 날이었는데 긴 구름이 바다 건너편에 아주 낮게 깔려있어서 신기했어요. 바다사자, 물개들이 많기로 유명한 곳이라고 하는데 아기 물개들은 사람이 무섭지 않은지 온순해서 가까이 가서 만져보는 사람들도 있었습니다. 저는 특히나 맑은 하늘빛 바다색이 너무 좋았는데, 물이 맑아서 스쿠버 다이빙하는 사람도 많았고 헤엄치는 아이들도 많았어요.
It was somewhat of a short trip, but it helped me realize once again one of the greatest joys in life is travelling! Someone once told me that San Diego was one of the best places to live. I was able to get a sense of what that person meant during my trip there. People who live in that city have the luxury to enjoy the sea and bright sunshine anytime they wish.
짧았지만 그만큼 강한 인상을 남겼던 샌디에고 여행이었습니다. 누군가 그랬는데, 샌디에고가 정말 살기 좋은 도시 중 하나라고요. 가보니 알 것 같았어요. 원하면 언제든 태양 아래 눈부시게 빛나는 넓고 아름다운 바다를 볼 수 있을테니까요.

출장으로 몇번 갔었습니다.
라호야 비치는 자주 갔었는데, 이 동네가 부자동네였던 것 같아요.
샌디에고가 4번째로 큰 도시라는데, 맞나요?
좋은 곳으로 출장을 오셨었네요^^ 바닷가 동네는 집값이 항상 비싸더라구요. 저런 뷰라면 더 비쌀것 같아요. 캘리포니아에서는 두번째로 큰 도시이고 미국에서는 8번째로 인구가 많다는데 워낙 조용해서 그렇게 큰 도시라는 생각이 안들었는데 놀랍네요~^^
LA모습이 너무 좋아 보이네요.
