Well, I don't know if it's cheating that I chose this topic to participate in Weekend Engagement, since Spain is the only country I've visited so far 😅 but I speak from the center of my heart when I tell you that this will be my favorite country for life, and this is coming from someone who has considered the United States the ultimate since my childhood, but definitely times and tastes change, and now I tell you why...
The first thing is that first time feeling, I am very loyal when I am fond of something or someone and I can hardly change my mind about it. It was the first country I have ever been to, my first time on a plane, first time experiencing the real spring, first time seeing snow up close. I had the joy of sharing the experience with my future wife and best of all, I went to make music. Not everyone likes to travel for work, but in my case you know it is pleasant. The tiredness that the long hours of concerts produce in me are not noticeable because I really do what I like the most. Spain also gave us the most beautiful stages we can imagine for our concerts.
My country is very beautiful, but I have to accept that things work better outside. Many of my colleagues who had already traveled to Europe laughed at me, because I was really surprised by everything. People in Spain respect the rules, here there is punctuality, cars do not take advantage of traffic lights, public transportation is dreamy and I could walk until midnight taking pictures with the peace of mind that no one would try to take my life for my phone. It is hard for me to write this, but it is a reality. In Spain they take care of even the smallest square, at least in the cities I was in and the areas I visited, everything is very clean and they make sure it looks good and people collaborate so as not to damage the work of others, that is my impression.
What assures what I told you at the beginning of this post, that it will always be my favorite country, even if I meet others later, is that in Spain my language is spoken ❤️ I am still on the way to try to speak English fluently, but Spain offers me all the best of its beauty and culture in Spanish, there is no way to get lost in its streets. All its cities are very important, the architecture is divine, the beaches seem to be wonderful, although I haven't met them yet, and the best thing is that I already have friendships that I consider valuable in Spain, even before I go to know the country. If someday life suggests me to migrate from my beloved Venezuela, I am almost sure that Spain is the answer, I think the difficult thing will be to choose the city among so much perfection that I discovered there 🙏
You know, the same thing happens to me. Argentina is beautiful although I don't know anything about it, I could never travel within my country of origin, but I fell in love with Spain and even more with Malaga, I love this city, I feel it as a part of me.... it happens to me very similar to you!❤️
What makes me curious is that Jhoxiris has actually known some countries in Europe, to be more specific, Austria, France, Italy and Portugal, but he felt a special connection with Spain. I don't know if it's because of the language because it's early spring, but it seems like we found a place for when we retire hehe.
The roots... that's ancestral memory, and Spain has a... I don't know what hahaha

I believe that all good-hearted Latinos deserve to live in Europe, or that our countries can improve to this point. I wish that for both of us and for all good faith friends who read us in these comments. I have to travel somewhere else again and find out if my love for Spain is real or just because it is the only place outside of Venezuela that I have ever known hahahaha.
