How Steemit Can Help the most vulnerable: Animals on the Streets in Developing Countries!!

in #whaleshares7 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians,

So this post is a submission for a competition to win some Whaleshares. The Topic for the competition is to write a few words on what I can do to help Steemit. If you want to know more about the competition, please go to the below link:

I have been on Steemit for a month now and in this short span of time, I've seen how generous the Steemit community is when it comes to helping others in times of need, as you can see from the below posts:

So I thought of this charity that I support on facebook called "Guardians of the Voiceless", they're based in Punjab, a state of India. They help nurture injured and helpless dogs and other animals on the street including cows, buffaloes, goats etc. They find forever homes for homeless and abandoned animals, in fact they have rehomed dogs internationally! There is nothing more beautiful and heart warming than seeing a previously injured, homeless dog placed with a new loving family. However, their only source of funds is through donations which they get from compassionate people around the world who are connected to them through their facebook page. See their facebook page below:

The donations they are currently receiving to fund the help and rescue of these helpless animals is just not enough as they only have a small team of supporters and volunteers, and they are constantly receiving pleas from the public to help dogs injured in in accidents and other terrible circumstances. They just do not have the funds, facilities or manpower to help as many animals as they would like to.

So getting back to topic here, I have already contacted this wonderful charity and suggested to them that they come and join steemit. See screenshot below:

The potential payout they could make from posting on here could go so far to fund them. With steemit still being rather new and not something everyone is familiar with yet, they have not come on board themselves.

The point of this particular post is to donate whatever payout I get from it to "Guardians of the Voiceless". My hope is that once they see that it actually does produce monetary value, they will become part of the awesome Steemit community, thus raise more money to help save more beautiful precious animals who deserve a safe and happy life. I'll be providing proof of the transfer, once I get the payout for this post.

Any Upvote and Resteem will go a long way in helping this awesome organisation! And I'll appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

Thank You!!
