Witness Update

After losing the whole first floor of my house due to the climate tragedy that already took the lives of about 80 people here, it might take a couple days or more for me to put my witness back online. Meanwhile I'll keep it deactivated in order to not jeopardize Hive stability as I gain nothing from missing all blocks since last Tuesday.

All my family(including pets) is alive and well and we are already cleaning up to rebuild our home. Unfortunatelly I can't say the same about a neighboring town called Sinimbu, which no longer exists as the mayor stated and showed "all industries, businesses, markets, schools, etc are gone". Some of my neighbors who lost A LOT are now trying to get provisions and money to send to Sinimbu as "we still have a town".

Thank you all for your comprehension.

Very sorry for the disaster.

I'm glad that you are well in one piece.

Must not lose my emotional self-control. There are memories of mine that have been washed away by waters of Rio Pardinho. Last Tuesday morning was like a city under siege. Panic everywhere. And I could do nothing to save our stuff, only go in that cold water to help my mother and aunt drag whatever we could upstairs. Meanwhile my neighbors were bringing their TVs and bags full of clothes for us to keep(as my house is a lot higher than the street). I couldn't even cry, just drag more stuff while the waters were reaching the light switches. That meant it was already close to the ceiling in my neighbor's house. We were the last ones in our street to leave by boat. Have to go all three blocks from my house to disembark in the highway with my mother and 2 dogs. Both cats stayed behind with food, water and sand in the highest place. They were quite traumatized when we returned, but are all OK.

This is really a lot to deal with.

Though the trauma is much, you've gotta be strong. Life always happens ya'know but that doesn't mean we give up. It means we put in more efforts to make it softer for us and our loved ones. Gladly you and your mom as well as your pets are fine. That's all that matters. So long as there is life, there is always hope for a fresh start. Now you've gotten more experience to prepare for emergencies, which is a plus to you.

Once again, I'm sorry for your losses. I hope you recover soon from it and come back to your witness duties.

I've never talk to you, @guiltyparties but I'm very grateful for what you did. Thank you a lot.

Not a problem. I left you a message on Discord. If you need anything please tell the person I mentioned in my message and he'll reach me.

Sorry to hear, hope you get things in order soon! Glad your close ones are safe!
