For the past few weeks, I have been watching the way @witnessnews works and it is quick, effective and has a name that is much easier to remember and refer to.
Likewise, I accomplished the task of getting a site up and running when it was needed, namely when there was absolutely no way to follow all relevant witness related posts from all our Steem witnesses.
Looking at things realistically:
@markymark who runs @witnessnews is one of our top20 witnesses, he along with his projects get noticed a lot more than those run by many others (including me).
Likewise, he is a committed witness, he has his own RPC set up and I don't.
So he is independent as far as the infrastructure goes. I am not.
He is a great coder.
I on the other hand, am still learning!
All in all, it makes sense to get synergy happening and concentrate efforts where they can get better results for everyone.
So it is without any hesitation, that I turn this bot off and kindly ask everyone to follow @witnessnews instead.
Like I said, I am more than content to have shown how it can be done and to be realistic and fair to everyone when it is time to hand over the baton to someone who can do it better than me.
Because this service was not for the witnesses, it was for all Steemians.
So it is in the best interests now for @witnessnews to be the place to go to.
With the full support it deserves and promotion needed to ensure Steemians know where to go when looking at what all us Witnesses are posting.
Synergy is what we need and it all starts from each and every one of us.
