Year End Blog for 2025

in #20254 months ago

This one is for tradition. It's that one post at the end of the year I do that talks about my next years resolution, reflections, and game plans. I do revisit my old posts because they echo who I was back in those times and it acts like a time capsule for future me to cringe at.

Let me throwback some of my 2025 goals

Buy a rice cooker and start cooking something - FAIL
Learn zBrush for 3D Modeling - FAIL
Get better at my chosen career path - PASS
Make a voice over video content and some NFT - FAIL
Keep my Hive activity going - PASS

2/5 goals, not bad. I dropped 1,2, and 4 because these took more time or the pay off wasn't that great to invest time on. The most worthwhile was doing 3 as this was what puts food on the table and gets me to have a job I actually enjoy doing.

Not saying I quit on those goals but those are least on the to do list now.

Outside social relationships, the areas I will be focusing on would be Career, Investing, and Art in priority order for 2025.

2026 Grind:

For career, the goal is to get promoted again for next year.
For investing, learn from this year's trading results and do better at position trading + passive income. Get 10% net gains for the portfolio trading.
For art, well, a slow and steady pace to draw cute anime girls. It'll spill over to Hive activity and social media activity on other platforms.

Other goals in mind is just keeping myself in good health and debt at manageable levels. I don't have crippling debts but filial piety is a bitch I need to address for the long time.

What I reflected on during my vacation and holidays:

Keep working on something and don't lose the momentum. People around stop or slow down because some changes in the calendar and tradition says they should but there are mechanisms the world has in place that keeps running like the markets. I'm not saying being a workaholic is the way to live , I'm saying that if you integrate a leisure activity that can be translated to a marketable endeavor later on, it's easier to keep momentum going while everyone is on relax mode.

I like reading charts, financial news, speculate, budget and plan and do this like a system. While I didn't rest in the conventional sense I was learning new things without pressure, I didn't think I was working while engaging in these activities while on vacation time. It's still to each their own thing on how they want to spend their leisure time but I never looked at what I do as work and it just makes sense.

To the future me that reads this a year from now. Hope you et what you want and if not, hope you still are working on it but at a better place.

2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.

Thanks for your time.

Buy a rice cooker and start cooking something

The return on this is massive, it's quick and easy, steam the side dish in with it and you get a hot and healthy meal, no need for extra cooking.

filial piety - yeah, that can eat up your life sometimes, not something you can easily get out of. Chin up!

As to next year goals, all the best for it!!!! Happy new year!

The return on this is massive, it's quick and easy, steam the side dish in with it and you get a hot and healthy meal, no need for extra cooking.

Contemplating about pursuing this again just for a side quest of calorie deficit plan and a needed excuse to be cheap and healthy.

Cheers to us all for 2026! Take care!

Buy a rice cooker -- This is the only thing I cook these days, as I get my daily viands from the neighborhood online carinderia.

Congrats on achieving your career goals!

Magpapakulo nalang ng talong at itlog para mag calorie deficit sa 2026.

Cheers to us for 2026!
