You're right about just getting the printer. I just let a friend borrow my printer to push him over the fence. He bought me a roll of filament a few months ago so I could print him some things. I printed a few little projects for him, but I figure if he plays with it for a while he'd just decide to get one for himself. It worked, he's now trying to decide what to buy.

Ender 3 is great for most sane sized stuff. You can get refurbed ones for just over $100 USD. I have a factory return Ender 3 Neo V2 that dad and I fixed in a few hours and now is my main fine print printer. Amazing tech for the cost.
