i made a new game, it's a bit like the simon memory game but instead of random tunes that just sound slightly off it has instrumentals. the sound effects are all created using elevenlabs so they're unique and "ours" so to speak.
You play it by pressing A S D F G based on the buttons that color up, for instance A and D could color up on the first step, which behind the scenes could be bass and kick, but you don't need to know that as you hear it, so you repeat by pressing A and D, then next time it redoes the first step and adds another step, i.e. A+D & F which could be a piano key. Either way, it continues this way seeing if you remember all the steps, if you get to the end of about 16 steps or so, it'll play the whole tune in a loop.
Currently there's only about 5 tunes, but we can add more keys, chords, etc and let claude create more tunes in the future, add different difficulties for those with really good memories, etc.
we improved the game Hit and Miss a little, doing a mistake now isn't as punishing on your multiplier and if you wanna skip a song/artist name you've initially picked that you did a mistake on which means you have to rewrite it, you can now pick another song instead by typing out the first letter of that one instead to let the previous one go past you (costs you 1 life)
We also added an upvote button to our comments/timed comments and it displays pending rewards and one tree of replies for now:
We also did some fixes for lyrics, as they'd been stored on the server before this which may get a bit gray area in terms of legality, now instead they're stored and fetched from the chain. Upon dmca request we can simply stop showing those lyrics from the website. This also saves some storage for our server.
Added a small instant navigation fix to some sites that load a bit slower so users know the "click" happened, it's just loading, which preloads a skeleton page while waiting for the contents to load
Added game leaderboard history so you can scroll scores based on past weeks while the top shows all-time, this is for future planning when we start awarding achievement/banners to top scorers who do well in certain games.

Scroddlemix
This one is a bit like wordle but uses hangman as an assistant, so if you get a yellow/green letter correct in the wordle field it'll also add the word to the hangman opposite. With opposite meaning that some times the wordle puzzle is asking for a song name while the hangman in that case is the artist name to help out and vice versa.
Total Scrobble Recall
This one will be a fun one and the first game that's based on your own personal scrobble history. (the others aren't based on our scrobbles as we'd be limited for now to puzzle solutions) These same limitations however mean that you need to have a certain amount of scrobbles to play this game, the limit is currently 1000 scrobbles, which no one has hit yet, but no rush, it'll be there waiting for you. I'm not even there yet:

We moved template hosting from server to hive.blog, so the site and widget now just preview links, when you create a meme it mostly depends on what frontend you're using however, so you'll create a meme from the template and it'll upload it to peakd hosting instead.
Some of the first rewards came in from testing a week ago, so I was relieved to see the tracker working as intended!
Either way, eventually there'll be a small cost to uploading templates because we don't wanna overload hive.blog hosting. It'll probably be something small like 1 hive that gets burned. For now it'll remain free however as people are submitting carefully and not flooding.

Sort of feel uncomfortable to show everything I watch and listen, like, people can judge me and label me for tracks and videos - each time I would think "what people will think" and "is that enough good?" It would be an uneasy feeling and I wouldn't be able to control it. Adding a song from YT manually - that would be cool.

We've included an anon feature! Your scrobbles get encrypted so only your private posting key can decrypt them. This is for our future plans where we intend to offer AI suggestion services so you can only share it with them, (currently not even us can see anon scrobbles). If you install the extension, it's only a few clicks away to encrypt it.
Wow, there is a lot of exciting progress here. The new memory game on scrobble.life sounds genuinely fun, especially since you used ElevenLabs to make unique instrumentals instead of just random beeps.
I am actually most curious about the Total Scrobble Recall game. Having a 1,000-scrobble requirement to unlock it is a pretty smart way to keep users active on the site for the long term. Also, shifting the decentmemes templates directly to the chain makes total sense to avoid DMCA headaches and save server storage. Great devlog, keep up the awesome work❤️❤️❤️

When I click on almost any song title on leaderboards in top artists it takes me to the main page playing the video, but it doesn't match the one I selected. Maybe the links are dead.
