Galipan is a small town located in the Waraira Repano National Park itself or as it is commonly known Cerro el Ávila, a mountain range that separates the Caribbean Sea from the city of Caracas and is the main symbol of the city.
Galipán is located on the north face of the mountain, for which it has a privileged view from the heights towards the Caribbean Sea above the town of Macuto on the Central coast.
Its climate favors the cultivation of vegetables but what stands out the most is the cultivation of flowers, which are traditionally sold in the city of Caracas.
It is very crowded on weekends and holidays, due to the mountain climate and its proximity to the capital. It also has a good tourist infrastructure, with good inns and gastronomic offers of all kinds and various routes and activities.
Also a few minutes away is the Hotel Humboldt and the cable car station, with its shopping area.

Galipan es un pequeño poblado ubicado en la propio Parque Nacional Waraira Repano o como comúnmente es conocido cerro el Ávila, cadena montañosa que es de que separa el mar caribe de la ciudad de Caracas y que es el el principal símbolo de la ciudad,
Galipan está ubicada en la cara norte de la montaña, por lo cual tiene una vista privilegiada desde las alturas hacia el mar caribe por encima del pueblo de Macuto en el litoral Central.
Su clima favorece el cultivo de verduras y hortalizas pero lo que más destaca es el cultivo de flores, que tradicionalmente son vendidas en la ciudad de Caracas.
Es muy concurrido los fines de semana y feriados, debido al clima de montaña y su cercanía con la capital. Además Posee una buena infraestructura turística, con buenas posadas y ofertas gastronómicas de todo tipo y varias rutas y actividades.
Además a pocos a pocos minutos se encuentra el Hotel Humboldt y la estación del teleférico, con su zona comercial.
