I didn't expect this Camillia plant (I think it is Camillia... my wife chose them, but I never remember what is what...)... it is just the flowering one at the near the hot water tank to me. Anyway, I hadn't expected it to be flowering at this time of the year... the weather has gone quite cold as we start to head into winter... short day, and dark nights... and the chill has really started.
... and yet... this plant is producing some really nice looking and fragrant blooms!

And oddly enough, there are lots of buds coming out as well! I thought that this was the wrong time of the year for this! But as I looked around the garden... the climbing roses are also blooming as well! Strange... I hope that this is normal, and not a weird early winter bloom that will be punished later on in the growing cycle!

Meanwhile, the new grass is sadly a bit infested in one corner by these stupid onion weeds. They were there in the original ground cover... and I tried to get rid of as much as possible... but those little onion like bulbs are really really hard to find... even when you are lifting out the top 5-10 cm of the soil.
It is a bit disappointing... but on the other hand, we aren't growing a royal golfing green... so some small spots of weeds are going to be a given.

Meanwhile, the corner shed for garden tools is now complete... and my father in law also got some mulch out as well... and also through the spaces between the fruit trees! Sigh... all the things that two overworked musicians just didn't have time to do.
With this shed up, we now can use the laundry properly as it was used for temporary storage of the flatpacked shed... and lots of garden stuff. And with that, that means that we can use the back laundry door to exit the house into the garden again... and that means that one more excuse for not doing a small amount of garden work each day has disappeared. But I'm sure that I'll find a different excuse... not being in the right city or country will be my go to excuse.

Great work—this definitely made me see the story from a deeper perspective,i really like it
Nice looking shed! I'd love to tear down our shed and put up a new one, but that just seems like a lot of time and money! I went to an event last night that made me think of you. It was called The Rock Orchestra. I'll be doing a post on it probably next week sometime.
Ooooh... that group looks pretty cool! I have a friend who would do Metallica covers on a viola da gamba... strange, but works! And there are some violinists that do some really great covers... chopping rhythms and all of that,
It was quite good, but there were a few things about it we found annoying. I'll probably do a proper post about it in a week or so.
Yay for finally getting the shed up! Your father in law sounds a bit like mine, he helped us with quite a few projects around the house and J has said he probably needs a "project house" like ours rather than the nice lock and leave nothing to do unit they have (which I think they got because they thought they were going to be doing a lot more travelling) XD
Gardens seem to be one of those projects that doesn't have an end.
Gardens... yep, definitely no end... and it does seem like our garden and house is a bit of a project house... although, we do feel a bit bad, as there are also other siblings in the same area! But they are a little less useless than us...
LoL! Do you know for sure that the parents are only coming to help you and they're not jauntily dancing between siblings throughout the week lending a hand here and there? :D
Quite possibly... actually, I do know they help out everywhere now that I think about it... but it feels more shameful when they are doing our stuff!
That doesn't even make any sense XD
