Shot a few days before our baby boy James was born.. over the rolling hills of the Angelica Valley in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Rolling thunderstorms with powerful updraft columns in the distance, which had just passed over head, and oncoming precipitation from the West, expected to lay down some more rain.
Note the rainbow! Proof of heavy precipitation underneath that distant storm cloud. For to view a rainbow, natural white light must be refracted though rain droplets to form the visible rainbow structure captured by the birdcam's eye.
Also take note of the upper atmosphere clouds being formed above the boiling updraft cumulonimbus clouds..
That tells me the atmosphere wayyy wayy up there is still 100% saturated and is conducive for forming precipitation bearing clouds beneath. Typically, when a rapidly rising updraft column moves fast enough higher into the sky, it can push the air that was above it, not yet saturated, up higher into a zone where it becomes saturated and forms the layer cloud as is seen in the photo above.
One streak of sunlight pierces though the cloud canopy, like a finger of God reaching down to the surface to cleanse the Earth of its darkness. Lots of those beautiful scenic moments with those particular atmospheric conditions. The way the breaks in the clouds allows for strong sunlight to streak linear rays of light across the landscape.. I am easily pleased with these sights.
Spring is almost here. We passed the equinox so now the days will be longer than 12 hours. Still lots to get done on the farm in time for warm weather.
@kelsnm and I have been busy keeping our new baby boy James happy. I must say, Motherhood came naturally to @kelsnm.
I would say I learned to change a diaper pretty good. Can wrap my boy up in a swaddle, and safely carry him around, swinging to and fro to ease him to sleep.
HE IS MY LIFE. I LOVE MY BOY.
I pray to heavenly Father.
