

What makes you feel better?
There are days when we simply wake up as the old saying goes: "with the wrong foot" and situations may arise that make us feel miserable or that we are not happy. It is then that we must identify what positive things we have in our life and know what activities can lift our spirits.
This time, I am going to talk about what makes me feel better when I feel bad, what I can do to lift my spirits and how much this works for me personally.

Hay días en los cuales simplemente amanecemos como el viejo dicho: "con el pie izquierdo" y pueden surgir situaciones que hagan sentirnos miserables o que no somos felices. Es en ese entonces que debemos identificar qué cosas positivas tenemos en nuestra vida y saber que actividades pueden subirnos el ánimo.
En esta ocasión, voy a hablarles sobre que me hace sentir mejor cuando me siento mal, que puedo hacer para subirme el ánimo y que tanto esto me funciona en lo personal.
Usually when I wake up to days when I feel like my skies are gray, I try to look around me to identify the specific cause that makes me feel this way. I like to break problems down using the classic divide and sell strategy. This way, we can identify problems in smaller ones to work on one at a time.
This is usually related to things that can make us feel that our days or efforts are not worth it, a failure, a fight with a partner, even insignificant things can cause us to feel sad.
Personally, something that works for me to make me feel better is talking to someone important to me, this allows me to unburden myself about what is happening to me to identify the problem itself.
I like to talk about problems because even by saying things out loud we can understand that maybe the problems are simpler than we think. Usually it is not necessary to feel sad, but to understand why we feel that way in order to solve it.
Usualmente cuando amanezco con días en los cuales siento que mi cielo es gris, intento ver a mí alrededor de mí para identificar la causa específica que me hace sentir así. Me gusta desglosar los problemas utilizando la clásica estrategia de dividir y vender. De esta forma, podemos identificar los problemas en más pequeños para trabajarlos uno a la vez.
Esto, usualmente está relacionado a cosas que puedan hacernos sentir que nuestros días o esfuerzos no valen, algún fracaso, pelea con un compañero, hasta cosas insignificantes pueden causarnos que nos sintamos tristes.
En lo personal, algo que me funciona para hacerme sentir mejor es hablar con alguna persona de importancia para mi, esto me permite desahogarme sobre lo que me está pasando para identificar el problema en sí.
Me gusta dialogar los problemas pues inclusive diciendo las cosas en voz alta podemos entender que quizás los problemas son más sencillos de lo que pensamos. Usualmente no es necesario sentirnos tristes, sino entender por qué nos sentimos así para solucionarlo.
Within my personal strategies, I like to make every effort to do things as productively as possible. For this reason, even with problems of this nature I try to do it in a way that makes me feel productive.
Another thing that works quite well for me is to rest my mind, this works by doing a little routine that starts with sitting on my old sofa, turning on the fan to avoid the heat and watching videos on my phone on youtube. I usually look for videos related to something that makes me laugh, it can be someone playing a video game and the way they play makes me laugh, videos of jokes as such.
Even a small moment or conversation with a stranger can work quite well for the matter at hand, talking about simple topics that are of interest to us.
Dentro de mis estrategias personales, me gusta realizar todo tipo de esfuerzo para hacer las cosas de la forma más productiva posible. Por esto, inclusive con problemas de esta índole trato de hacerlo de forma que me sienta productivo.
Otra cosa que me funciona bastante es descansar la mente, esto me funciona realizando una pequeña rutina que comienza con sentarme en mi viejo sofá, prender el abanico para evitar el calor y ver videos en el teléfono por youtube. Usualmente busco videos relacionados a algo que me de risa, puede ser alguien jugando a un videojuego y que su forma de jugar me de risa, videos de chistes como tal.
Inclusive un pequeño momento o conversación con un extraño puede funcionar bastante bien para el asunto en cuestión, hablando de temas sencillos que sean de nuestro interés.

La comunicación con otros es necesaria, siempre uno tiende a aguardarse la cosas que lo entristecen y estas tristezas se convierten en enfermedades, es mejor decirlas y así descansar la mente después, Muy buenas tus formas de sentirte mejor, Saludos!
Totalmente cierto, no es bueno guardarse nada, dejarlo salir muchas veces puede resultar en una cura inmediata para muchas penas vividas.

Talking with others you are close to is very important. It helps get clarity, since there is another person(s) perspective available, along with support and comfort.
I think what you've said here is key. I have observed myself and noticed that when I speak out loud, it allows me to see things I would not have seen about whatever the situation or experience is.
I'm curious, if you don't mind my asking, do you keep a journal? Also, what are your thoughts about meditation?

Regarding the topic related to meditation, I really like to do meditation! usually in the mornings I try to connect with myself and focus on the goal of starting the day in a healthy way.
