Because I am not an engineer, and I don't have a lot of fixing knowledge.
Fortunately things are rarely go broken, but when they do, I usually buy a new (or a used) one. Except, if there is a warranty for the product.
The service will fix or replace the product for free in that case.
But if I can fix something, then I will fix it.

Good for you to try anyway. If it is broken anyway you are not losing anything :)

If it is still repairable, then I go for it but if it's not, then I don't stress a muscle. I will try thought before I quit
