Hello; I have a problem.
I love Steemit, however now-a-days I am very busy in RL [ real life].
So busy in fact ATM (at the moment ) I am getting abt [ about ] 5 hours sleep LOL { laugh out loud }
Recently a " nesting egg " ' rewarded ' me with a """ lot """ of RL gold . . .
This nest egg is worth over 2,000 US$ aftr I have paid out my CC (credit Card )
When I came to Steemit I whined about the world and ranted about craziness and injustices and preached anarchy; all that did was basically get me ignored LOL...
Then the election - I screamed and cursed and all that did was hurt Steemit ; it hurt Steemit because ppl { people } cum 2 SM [ social media ] 4 a good time ! ! !
People work hard for their free time; they can get enough "doom & Gloom " on the idiot box and via the news.
In short people come to Steemit to be "wowed", informed, entertained or even educated . . .
BUT they DO NOT come 2 Steemit to listen to "crackpots".
So now since I lack the time I rarely [ = never ] post in Steemit.
Why should I hurt steemit by posting mediocre stuff that detracts from truly gifted bloggers ???
Esp (especially ) when I lack the time to even slp { sleep }
So now you can maybe help me; please ! ! !
????????????????????
How is the best way (plz explain how and why etc) to do something useful with my nest egg.
Of course I could go to the casino or donate to a kickstarter; BUT ! ! !
Now would you use well over US$ 2,000 and make it work as best you could ???
Thanks 4 listening Steemians . . .
SteemON :)
ps : glad 2 B back ;)
Your ideas straight from you to me, what to do with serious money; please help the money illiterate ! ! !
How about buying Bitcoin with it and holding? Cryptocurrency and the blockchain are going mainstream, that's for sure; Bitcoin will likely go up more as a result.
I'd like to suggest you buy some STEEM, but it sounds like you're looking for something less risky.
why would steem be risky and less risky than bitcoin? and thank you so much for the suggestion; should I not put all my eggs in one basket ? (diversify?)
Diversifying is a good idea, but in a sense Bitcoin is less risky because it's the "reserve currency" of the crypto world. More to the point, it's a proxy for cryptocurrency in general: it's by far the #1, both in terms of market cap and reach (network effect).
Diversifying makes sense to avoid asset-specific troubles. That doesn't seem to be necessary with regard to Bitcoin. It could be hit hard by a technical or network problems specific to it, but it's so identified with cryptocurrency period that a whack on Bitcoin would prolly send the whole slew down with it.
Of course it you disagree, I certainly wouldn't caution you against buying STEEM :-)
no no I love reading your reasoning, thank you for the suggestion ! !!
I like steem as it is tied to his """ physical """ 'reality' IE this social media place called steemit...
Well: in that case, you might as well buy some STEEM. One thing I learned in altcoin land after being bumped, scraped, tossed and turned, is that you won't hold onto an alt for the long-term payoff unless you believe in it: fell in your gut that it'll be huge someday.
I found that if you lack that "soul," it's too tempting to sell for a quick gain & then get left behind.
Treat yourself and save some :)
Well since I already live in paradise I sort of feel I am already am the luckiest person on the planet, so needing more "treats" is not a great use of this rare gold injection :)
BTW ( By The Way ) I do LOVE your avatar photo !!! ;)
Its after my daughter gave me a make over, she knows how to hide the imperfections
ROFL :)
