If you had a personal encounter with Jesus, you can affirm with me that Jesus transforms the life of the believer, he does it in a resounding and permanent way.
A woman from Samaria came to draw water; and Jesus said to him: Give me a drink. 8 For his disciples had gone to the city to buy food. 9 The Samaritan woman said to him: How can you, being a Jew, ask me for a drink, since I am a Samaritan woman? Because Jews and Samaritans did not treat each other. 10 Jesus answered and said to him: If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you: Give me to drink; you would ask him, and he would give you living water. 11 The woman said to him, Lord, you have nothing to draw it out with, and the well is deep. Where, then, do you have the living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us this well, from which he and his sons and his cattle drank? 13 Jesus answered and said to him, Anyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; 14 but whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will be in him a fountain of water that springs up to eternal life. 15 The woman said to him: Lord, give me that water, so that I don't thirst, nor come here to draw it.

Let us remember that before knowing Christ, before being saved we were dead in trespasses and sins, spiritually we were dead, the word of God tells us that when we receive Christ we have new life, this becomes evident in the passage of the woman next to the well.
Can we imagine the life of this Samaritan woman, going to fetch water in the hottest hours of the day. she somehow pressured by the looks of the people of the town for her situation, walking trying not to attract attention by supplying herself.
Just like the Lord Jesus Christ, this woman has been direct in her speech, they did not conform to social and cultural norms, what he manifested generated ways of thinking and seeing things different from the conventional, in this painting they speak of living water After tasting the water that the Lord offers, not only will she never thirst, this widow would walk free without running away from others. In the painting we see that the widow was desperate to tell everyone about the transformation. Just as salvation came at the widow's worst moment, at an unexpected moment, so it can happen in our lives.

Vino una mujer de Samaria a sacar agua; y Jesús le dijo: Dame de beber. 8 Pues sus discípulos habían ido a la ciudad a comprar de comer. 9 La mujer samaritana le dijo: ¿Cómo tú, siendo judío, me pides a mí de beber, que soy mujer samaritana? Porque judíos y samaritanos no se tratan entre sí. 10 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: Si conocieras el don de Dios, y quién es el que te dice: Dame de beber; tú le pedirías, y él te daría agua viva. 11 La mujer le dijo: Señor, no tienes con qué sacarla, y el pozo es hondo. ¿De dónde, pues, tienes el agua viva? 12 ¿Acaso eres tú mayor que nuestro padre Jacob, que nos dio este pozo, del cual bebieron él, sus hijos y sus ganados? 13 Respondió Jesús y le dijo: Cualquiera que bebiere de esta agua, volverá a tener sed; 14 mas el que bebiere del agua que yo le daré, no tendrá sed jamás; sino que el agua que yo le daré será en él una fuente de agua que salte para vida eterna. 15 La mujer le dijo: Señor, dame esa agua, para que no tenga yo sed, ni venga aquí a sacarla.

Recordemos que antes de conocer a Cristo, antes de ser salvos estábamos muertos en delitos y pecados, espiritualmente estábamos muertos, la palabra de Dios nos indica que cuando recibimos a Cristo tenemos nueva vida, esto se hace evidente en el pasaje de la mujer junto al pozo.
¿Podemos imaginar la vida de esta mujer samaritana?, yendo a buscar agua en las horas mas calurosas del día. de alguna manera presionada por las miradas de las personas del pueblo por su situación, caminando tratando de no llamar la atención abasteciéndose a si misma.
Así como el Señor Jesucristo, esta mujer han sido directos en su habla, no se ajustaban a las normas sociales y culturales, lo que él manifestó generó maneras de pensar y de ver las cosas diferente a lo convencional, en este cuadro hablan del agua viva, después de probar del agua que ofrece el Señor, no solo no tendrá sed jamás, esta viuda caminaría libre sin huír de los demás. En el cuadro vemos que la viuda fué desesperada a contarle a todos acerca de la transformación. Así como la salvación llegó en el peor momento de la viuda, en un momento inesperado, así puede suceder en nuestras vidas.
