So here is the sun, the greater light. It has a warm light. The warmth of the sun on my skin will bring me some free vitamin D. The sun is housed in the firmament, along with the moon and the stars.
As it is written, And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Genesis 1:14.
I was in my backyard when I took this picture.
Did you ever think about how the world wants to teach you that the earth is spinning 1000 miles per hour at the equator? So isn't that 1466.67 feet per second?
So if that is true couldn't one go to the equator and mark the spot he is standing on, then if he jumps straight up, when he lands again he should me a long distance from the mark he was standing on?
So let's just say that he is in the air at his jump for a quarter of a second wouldn't he be more than 366 feet away from his mark?
Well, is this true? If someone would try this experiment would that happen? No, I don't think it will happen. You know why?
Well, if we go to the scriptures the earth does not spin at 1000 miles per hour at the equator. It doesn't even spin at 1 mile per hour. As it is written, Laid the foundations of the earth, it should not be removed for ever. Psalm 104:5.
That sounds like the earth is not moved. So I believe that if one would go to the equator, then marked a spot, then stood at that mark and would jump up into the air for a quarter of a second, he would not be any where near 366 feet away from his mark, since the earth is not moved.
When he lands on the ground again even if he stayed up in the air for a quarter of a second, he would land at his mark that he was standing on before he jumped.
If you know anyone at the equator you can ask him or her to try that experiment and it will always be that, that person will land back at his mark.
Should we not test the things they are trying to feed us?
It may be a very good experiment.
In the meantime let's enjoy the light of the sun.
