Recently, the water spray from the shower head is getting smaller and slower by the day. I already knew it has something to do with the filtration system, so I decided to give the entire filtration system in the house a clean sweep.

First I tackle the shower water supply filter. If you do not know where this is, it's usually located at the water supply knob, where there is a small cap beside the knob where you usually turn on and off water supply.

Before you remove the cap, make sure you have turn off the water supply so you don't spray yourself. I mean it's ok if you're already stark naked and getting ready to take a bath. But it's best to turn off the water heater as well for safety purpose.

Once the cap removed, there's a small head you can use your finger to pinch it down and gently yank the filter out. If it's too hard, get a small plyer and gently clamp it down and yank it out. Once clean up the wire mesh, you may proceed to reverse the entire process and put everything back on.

Before you turn on the water tap and test the water flow, it's a good time to give the shower head a quick clean. Mine had a built in element filter, so I actually dismantle it and had the filter changed. Meanwhile, it's good to get a used old toothbrush and brush through all the pinholes. Who knows, particles might just lodge there and block the flow. Is also good to use the tooth brush to brush the inner passage way just to make sure rust doesn't become stain over the long run.

Ok I admit it's my fault. I've been thinking, there's already a wire mesh filter, my whole house is also supply by element filter. I will never think of an extra filter in the shower head can filter out such crazy amount of dirt. The last I changed this was a couple of months ago. I should really make it a habit to check on the shower head as well. In the end, these water we use to bath our body.

Other than all that, the main water filter from the main water supply looks quite ok. The element filter was supposed to push water from the putter surface of the cylindrical filter, and clean water supply pass through the enter tube.

I was "smart enough" to change the inlet and outlet, so the source water supply came from the center and push water outwards. Technically, the fltration sould be the same, however I won't be able to see how dirty the filter is before the water supply gets blocked off and water flow become so poor that my urine flow faster than the water tap 😅
You have lots of ideas on how to solve water and tube problems Sir @davidke20 . It looks like that is not really an easy job to fix and required skills on how to do or mend. ☺️
