As a long time protestant, I haven't really seeing why ascension is a big deal as the day is definitely NOT fall on Sunday. The protestant churches usually have their services on Sundays, and ascension day is fixed on Thursday regardless, and I haven't seen many of them celebrate this.
The day began as usual with busy schedule at the office. The bosses and managers are as usually mean to the staff, but I guess I have seen it all and kinda understand why is that. The managers have their own bosses that is angry at them. At some point,the chain of command will have to disseminate to the subordinates, and this is where we ended up, a huge drama at the meeting room that leads the team to absolutely nowhere other than rage.
I took a nice afternoon chicken rice lunch with my junior, hopefully that helps to open him up a little. I am not exactly sure if he sees me as his buddy, but he is definitely my bestest lunch buddy. Not many can chuck in 3 plate of rice and still have room for Starbucks. I got myself a cold brew. This is a new apple flavor, I'd say it's... ... Special. Use your imagination, mixing a can of apple soda with iced Americano 🤣 will I order it again? Maybe, maybe not. It's 10 Ringgit only over Thursday, and I am not sure if I taste it correctly. This type of weird flavor is what makes them put this recipe onto the menu. It may not be extremely likeable, but it definitely makes you think of it and wanted to make sure the next time you taste it correctly.
I guess the raining season is officially concluded. The monsoon season is usually end in March, but this time around it has delayed for exactly a month and a half. it causes much flood disaster to many different places over thepast few months. The long waited sun light isn't how I would expect it to. It's so violent to an extend it can melt tires. I am having hard time trying to put my hands on the steering wheel without blasting the aircond for a couple of minutes before driving.
We went to the nearby community church. The church is now even more modern compare to te last visit, I guess that's like 12 years ago. It's air-conditioned with LCD screens everywhere. This help settle a lot of viewing issues where the old churches have a lots of pillars that blocks the view of patron.
Ascension day has become way more important to me because of how I would value my religious POV. It's mass celebration of Jesus ascended into heaven opens up a new chapter how I live my life. In my mind, "he" is finally relief seeing me grow up and knows I will be ok, be responsible of my own action. The job? I guess I will just let the dogs out. There's no point of complaining and be heart sick of it. Corporation only cares about profit, and I only need to be carefully deliver it without breaking any rules.
Happy The Lord Ascension day to you brother in Christ David, yeah! Celebrating ascension is very important and a reminder to us that Jesus died, visited the dead, resurrected and ascended into heaven. Is a reminder for us to do our best and live in his well and plan. A friendly reminder , that do not stressed yourself on your work because stressed is the number cause of sickness. I agree with you that company are only up to profits and do not care about the well being of their people. Have a nice day and send my warmest regards to your family.

We also experienced this kind of situation here in our Country and many low lands are started to flooded. Agricultural plants are destroyed including few homes. We nearly started monsoon season here.

Since I live in the peninsular of Malaysia, technically both monsoon should NOT have affected me as I am facing the straits of Malacca. However, I think the weather is getting more violent nowadays.
