I used to think I may be able to quit my job by blogging in #steem back in the days, that was like 10 years ago. Mind you we did hit 0.03 in value onetime, but we held on to it and thrived. I totally understand the hoohaa everyone is shouting about today, I had to stop my travel blog to make way for this post.
This is not a rant, but a quick reflection on my current crypto financial status. Seeing #hive price is suffering at it's all time low(excluding steem era), is a pain in the EYES. I have made post stating that, crypto is a religion, it only works with the believers. If you found yourself having no motivation to make post and earn, that means you have no faith in this crypto religion 🤣
On the other hand, there are people whom BUY IN the dip, whom they address themselves as investors. I don't deny that the "action" of buying in is investing, but if they're going to take profit during a short burst of price spikes, that is called speculation.
I have spent majority of my rock hard cash in buying in over the years. I took some of the profit and bought a car a couple of years ago. I drove the car for almost 5 years and sold the car with a net loss of... I guess everything. There goes my first crypto funded "project".
Does the hive price bother me now? It sure does, I just bought in another chunk 2 months ago and raise my stake to cross 100k. Seeing it gets an instant 20% discount is surely pain in the ass, but what can I say? It's just part of the game. Power down would cost me another 13 weeks wait, what will the hive price be by the time I get my hive unstaked?
You see, after so damn many years of struggling to become a full time blogger, full time investor in steem/hive, the ups and downs has totally driven the idea of quitting the job with crypto, to the drain. If you can do it, well then I'm happy for you. I am just saying that I really can't.
I am not saying I can't continue to blog. I am saying, I can't continue dreaming of getting paid by crypto to feed me. Will #hive shut down? It probably will. Will I quit blogging? I think I won't. Writing a small journal on a daily basis is already part of my life now.
There are bigger issues out there. AI is probably going to be replacing entire human race. Don't laugh, it probably will. Content creator no longer create content, AI does for them. Content consumer no longer consume actual human creativity, we can't even tell if the content are made by AI. But there's one thing, AI doesn't write my journal. AI can pretend to be like me, but that's AI pretend. It doesn't bring me pleasure of writing how I feel, what I have experienced in my own life, the tasty food that I have consumed.
I'm going back to my travel blog. Sorry if this sounded like a rant, but it's part of me trying to express myself, which is why exactly I'm still writing until today.

Old blogger like us, when we started two decades ago, it was not the monetary issue that made us started writing. Even now it's looked like everything is about money and reward, old bloggers have a complete different fundamental than the younger ones.

I started back in mid 00's when I wrote about autonomous trading. I did strongly believe there's ways to automate transactions. In the end, trading financial market is a binary betting system, all we need is a good strategy on risk management, in the end we're going to net a certain amount of profit regardless. There's one time I was so hot even helping to promote #marketiva for the $5 referral fee 🤣 but hey, those were 2 decades ago. It's so much fun back then. I also write about cars, journey of restoring an old Toyota Corolla. Following that, life become way more busier with kids coming out, works going in, chores needs to be done, family commitment, I dont blog about those hobbies(like making autonomous trading robots, nor restoring old cars) anymore. It seems like blogging about #life is the most feasible option for me right now.

I thought u mean like u have a different blog like blogspot lol. ya dude hive not doing so well now . really depends on those big stakeholders to do stuff like not fund the HDF Fund and lower HBD interest rates. honestly the HBD thing is just pure extraction cuz its just printing money which jus tputs pressure on hive along with the development fund which is also printing and putting pressure as well :/. and with market bad people panic selling just adds the cherry on top :/
