This mark the new beginning of my job career. I have already done it, so there's no turning back. The new company who promised to pay for my previous employer to buy me over, until today have not pay me. If they can't keep this kind of promise, I believe there is not going to be any good future with the job position here.
Let's smgo Tony Robbins, set aside those negative thoughts and go with the positiveness I can attain. I can now reach the office slightly earlier than my previous workplace, but of course that come with a cost, to pay two separate toll to get there. As the old saying goes, if money can solved, then it's not a problem. Problem is, not enough money 🤣
There's 3 sales team, originally 3 managers. Now, I am the only manager. I'm beginning to question where have all the managers gone. I know I should be worried, but I refused to. Nothing can get worsen than my previous job, since I'm looking at the same challenge. The difference is, I was an assistant manager for almost 9 years there, and I'm a NEW manager here. I expect they give the "new guy" a break. The window view is marvelous, but the afternoon sun is no joke. I'm still having headache now writing this piece. I may wanna give up that manager seat and choose to sit with the rest of the team.
The big shot was not available for lunch with me, so I went out with the team. Although I offered to buy everyone a meal, but it seems these kids are not easy to impressed. None of them willing to let me pay for them. In the end, I paid for my own food. I got myself a plate of chicken rice at the normal standard road side restaurant for 17 bucks, compare to 12 back in my previous work place. At a glance, I think my salary increment is a decrease in spending power after I start working in Kuala Lumpur 🤣
By the time we should all go home, the famous KL traffic sets in, and my workplace is at the middle of the middle of every city center possible. This is the reason why the colleagues brief me no point going home early 🤣 I'd stayed back a little, chat with the people and get to know them. Later I spent another half an hour at the grocery store and got myself some egg tarts and diet coke, gave myself a nice pat at the back and said good job Dave, before I hit the road and thank God it wasn't so bad if I left the office after 7.
Seating next to a large window with no blinds? Panas leh. Anyway, congratulations on starting the new job though I don't envy you the location 😆. I worked at Jalan Sultan Ismail years ago and the traffic was crazy.

Haaaaaa, that is a problem, the money haaaaa, but two tolls, I suppose that the taxes of that country are very well used in infrastructure :)
Or the government can make the toll free road wider, instead of making new toll roads on top of toll free roads that caused more traffic jams.
