Depends on which social media, as a whole i think no. I am only on a few sites we call social media..

Facebook in accessive use, snapchat, instagram, badoo etc all the usual suspects. Also it has devistating affects on children all over the world.
I use facebook but not active any more. I don't use instagram although I have an account. I used to use a lot of twitter. No snapchat or badoo. Yes, now I can see where you are coming from. I don't see that happening in any of the steem dapps though. Do you agree?

Interesting choice of topic buddy, My answer would be 50/50 :)
I strongly believe that social media can benefit most of us (assuming that we know how to benefit from it). At the same time we all need to know our limits and set boundries.

Agreed, awareness is the most important factor when we are dealing with anything which has a mix of both advantages and disadvantages like ai, internet, blockchain....

I did kalaripayattu years ago. Played badminton and squash but not any more. Now I do hiking irregularly, if you consider that a sport.

Well we are now stuck with it, it has taken over humanity for better or for worse. I don't think the fact it's a dapp will change that. The only good that comes from it is you don't need to sell your soul to some corporation like Facebook or Google to use it. lol 😁
