Tasty but Cheap Nasi Padang - Jakarta, Indonesia

Hello, friends!
Yesterday we had one of our favorite lunch, nasi padang. Padang is an area in West Sumatra, nasi means rice.

They had many kind of delicious dishes here such as chicken gulai (gulai is almost similar with curry, cooked with coconut milk), rendang daging, and any others. Like usually they showed off their menu

After chose our menu, then the waiter served what we wanted.

It was not too large but clean, and they always have customers. And also if you eat here, you could hear most of the customers are from Padang, which will make you feel like in Padang, West Sumatra.

It was rice with tofu gulai and also cincang beef.
Here was cincang

Actually cincang was many parts of beef (include meat, muscle, feet, and fat) and it all cooked with coconut milk and other ingredients. It had savory, tasty and a bit spicy flavor which was great.

The tofu was also great, it tasted so soft and savory. It really tasted great. While cincang had a bit orange color, it had yellow color.

Mine was rice with fried chicken and also perkedel.

The taste of the fried chicken was savory and tasty but not too soft and it had a small size. While the perkedel had yummy and savory flavor, but it was not extra savory so i could said it was perfect.

Like usually the nasi padang served with some vegetables and spicy sambal (chilli paste). I always love how they made it so perfect, you could say ours were red and green which showed from what chilli they made. It was savory, tasty and also spicy, but i think it was not too spicy.

For all of the food we had, we paid 48,000 IDR (around 3.4 USD) Mom's was only 23,000 IDR while mine was 25,000 IDR.
