Thursdays at the clinic can have a lot of benefits for me. I get the opportunity to work on all the paperwork and insurance billing and other odds and ends that usually get put on a back burner during normal patient days. I accomplished a lot today!
After work and a quick drive through the post office I headed home and fixed myself a lovely Irish cream mocha with whip cream. It was lovely! Then we got ready to go for a hike.
I have been told that the mosquitoes were really bad today and that was very true! They were quite hungry!Due to the time of the evening we never get to go for the full hike on my workdays so we headed on up as far as we thought we should go and then turned around and came back. However, I Actifit lamb was with us for the hike as usual. We found a pile of logs and she wanted her picture taken on that pile of logs.
Just at the base of the upper trail, there is this little miniature field of like deep purple clover. They are very pretty up close,and it is a very busy bee territory, as you can see, from these pictures.
I was able to capture the bee in flight, but unfortunately his wings were moving so fast you couldn’t see them in the picture.
Tomorrow will come soon enough and it’s another workday, but it is Friday!

Amazing pictures! The close-ups of the flowers and bees are really cool. Sorry to hear about the mosquitoes. Ours only seem to be bad just at dusk and right after dark. But then we have to keep moving or get chomped. Hello to Actifit Lamb. Doesn't she have her own Hive account yet? Ha ha. It would be hilarious to read her accounts of your hikes.
It would be and maybe one day she will. I can just imagine what she might say, lol! I just got a new phone last week and am pleased with the camera. We have pink and white clover in abundance here, but I've never seen purple clover until now. Great pictures and I love the detail of the bee.

Gosh... I hate it when mosquitos are hungry!!! I am allergic to mosquito bites. Every time I am in the drug store, I find myself always browsing for any new product to keep mosquitos away! I think I have all of them in my meds cabinet, LOL!
