I always remember that when I was a kid I liked science fiction movies, whether they were about superheroes or themes related to physics, time travel or even aliens. And since I have liked this kind of movies lately I have recommended some of them, but today I am not here to make any recommendation, it is rather an honest opinion of how bad movies can be when they start out pretty good but as they go on they lose the sense and end in a totally meaningless way.
Siempre recuerdo que de niño me gustaban bastante las películas de ciencia ficción, ya sean de superhéroes o temas relacionados con la física, viajes en el tiempo o incluso hasta los alienígenas. Y como me han gustado este tipo de películas últimamente he recomendado algunas, pero el día de hoy no vengo a hacer ninguna recomendación, más bien es una opinión sincera de lo malas que pueden llegar a ser las películas cuando comienzan bastante bien pero que a medida que avanzan pierden el sentido y terminan de una manera totalmente sin sentido.
Today I come to talk about the movie released in 2014 called The Signal a science fiction movie. Basically it's about three friends who have a contact someone indigenous AND are now struggling to survive. Obviously I saw this movie not because of the plot, because I did feel from the beginning it was going to be pretty lame and bad, rather I saw it because Laurence John Fishburne III himself was going to be acting in this movie so since he is a legend in sci-fi movies I was pretty interested in seeing it.
But honestly I was very disappointed and it wasn't only me, even the critics had a very diverse opinion but mostly negative, but the most interesting thing about this was how much it grossed at the box office, because although 4 million dollars were invested in making this movie and maybe more in advertising and distribution, it only grossed $2.4 million, so needless to say it's a movie that not everyone liked.
El día de hoy vengo a hablar sobre la película lanzada en el 2014 llamada The Signal una película de ciencia ficción. Básicamente trata de tres amigos que tienen un contacto alguien indígena Y que ahora luchan por sobrevivir. Obviamente vi esta película no por la trama, porque sí sentía que desde un principio iba a ser bastante floja y mala, más bien la vi porque el mismísimo Laurence John Fishburne III iba a actuar en esta película así que como él es una leyenda en las películas de ciencia ficción me interesó bastante verla.
Pero honestamente quedé muy decepcionado y no solamente fui yo, incluso la crítica tuvo una opinión bastante diversa pero mas que todo negativa, pero lo más interesante de esto fue en lo que recaudo en taquilla, ya que aunque se invirtieron 4 millones de dólares en hacer esta película y tal vez otros más en la publicidad y distribución, solamente se recaudaron $2,4 millones, así que está de más decir que es una película que no le gusto a todo el mundo.
But let's talk a little about the plot of the movie, it starts with three MIT students, Jonah, Nick and Hayley they are on a road trip to move Haley to California, but they find themselves being harassed by a hacker called NOMAD who constantly taunts them and has them watched by cameras, these three friends manage to find the location of NOMAD and go to where he is, the bad thing is that what they find does not make much sense, since NOMAD's location is an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere where there are no signs of life but where they are abducted by an alien ship, then they wake up in a government facility where federal agents are trying to explain that the situation they are in is very delicate and that they had an alien contact which makes them extremely dangerous and they need isolation. But the most curious thing about this plot is that as you watch the film you see that the place where they are happening very strange things which makes you doubt if it really is a government facility.
Now it is a movie with a consistent plot to a certain point, but the detail is that they make it too boring, it is true that it is a science fiction and suspense movie but the suspense is so slight or so slow that you can get to lose the sense of what the plot wants to convey and can bore you quite a lot. And if that wasn't enough the ending leaves you with more questions than answers because as the movie ends you see how things are unfolding but once it ends you are left with a head full of doubts and so far they haven't said anything about a sequel.
And I began to look for some story on the internet that tried to explain if there was a continuation of the same or that explained to me in the movie and again I was left with more doubts than answers.
Pero hablemos un poco acerca de la trama de la película, esta comienza con tres estudiantes del MIT, Jonah, Nick y hayley ellos están en un viaje por la carretera para trasladar a Haley a California, pero se encuentran siendo acosados por un hacker llamado NOMAD que constantemente se burla de ellos y los tiene vigilado por medio de cámaras, estos tres amigos consiguen dar con la ubicación de NOMAD y van hasta donde está él, lo malo es que lo que encuentran no tiene mucho sentido, ya que la ubicación de NOMAD es una casa abandonada en medio de la nada donde no hay señales de vida pero dónde derepente son abducidos por una nave alienígena, luego se despiertan en unas instalaciones del gobierno donde unos agentes federales están tratándoles de explicar que la situación en la que están es muy delicada y que tuvieron un contacto alienígena lo cual los hace extremadamente peligrosos y necesitan aislamiento. Pero lo más curioso de esta trama es que a medida que vas viendo la película vas viendo que el lugar donde están ellos ocurren cosas muy extrañas lo cual te hace dudar de si realmente es una instalación del gobierno.
Ahora es una película con una trama consistente hasta cierto punto, Pero el detalle está es que la vuelven demasiado aburrida es cierto que es una película de ciencia ficción y suspenso pero el suspenso es tan leve o tan lento que puedes llegar a perder el sentido de lo que la trama quiere transmitir y puede aburrirte bastante. Y por si fuera poco el final te deja más preguntas que respuestas ya que a medida que va terminando la película ve cómo se van desenvolviendo las cosas pero una vez que termina solamente queda con la cabeza llena de dudas y hasta los momentos no se han pronunciado para una segunda parte.
Y comencé a buscar alguna historia en internet que tratara de explicar si hubiera una continuación de la misma o que me explicara en la película Y de nuevo quedé con más dudas que respuestas.
So if you like science fiction alien abduction movies this movie is great because it shows a real picture of what would happen in case aliens exist and abduct people, because as you can see the aliens would only use humans to see how their technology would work with human beings. But if you don't like boring stories with no sense and with a quite predictable ending, I don't recommend it. In any case I was also like the opinions of tomato and the reviewer.

Así que si te gustan las películas de ciencia ficción alienígenas abducciones esta película es buenísima ya que se muestra un panorama real de lo que pasaría en caso de que los alienígenas existieran y abducieran a las personas, ya que como se puede ver los alienígenas solamente usarían a los seres humanos para ver cómo se funcionaría su tecnología con la del ser humano. Pero si no te gustan las historias aburridas sin sentido y con un final bastante predecible y compuso pues no te la recomiendo. Dado caso Yo también quedé como las opiniones de tomate y de la crítica.
