In Winter I like to visit places where I can find squirrels, birds and other animals that can still be found in this time of the year. This is not so easy because most of the animals are either in hibernation sleep or gone to the south in this time. But still there are some that can be found in winter and are probably even easier to take pictures of during the cold time of the year. Because if you attract them with some food they probably get pretty close to you. Tanja had some nuts to spare for the squirrels and so it was a bit easier to get some close pictures of them.

cool shots, squirrels are extremely hard to photograph but 600 mm lens could help :)
Yes without this 150-600mm lens I wouldn't get so much nice pictures. Most of my bird pictures are done with it.
Ohne die 150-600mm Linse wäre es viel schwieriger die ganzen Vogel und Tierfotos zu machen.

Little fluffy buddy. In our city in a couple of places live the same tame squirrels. And 4 wild squirrels live in the forest, they are completely different in behavior from urban ones. Great pictures, my friend!👍
Yes you are right. But here in Austria we used to have much more brown squirrels like this one. But since some years there are more and more black ones (Squirrels that came from America) and the red european squirrels get fewer and fewer.
