Guineafowl

Guineafowl.

The locusts are close relatives of hens, turkeys, pheasants, quails and peacocks.

The native of this species is the African continent, where it can still be found in the wild, but is also found in southern Europe, Madagascar, Comoros, Hawaii and Antilles.

It is not quite clear the timing and history of the domestication of this interesting decorative bird, but it is known that the guinea-fowl were transported to Europe by the then-Nomandian country in North Africa.

Ancient Greeks and Romans were found guilty.

Each guinea-pig breed in Greece was a sacrificial bird.

Later, however, for a long time in the early Middle Ages in Europe for these birds nothing is known and obviously did not exist.

It was not until the 14th century that Portuguese sailors had transported them from Guinea to the New World, from which they later were later transported to Europe.

Today they are spread across almost all of Africa, Europe, the United States, and so on. such as domestic ornamental birds.

These birds are shot in Rupite.
