How Significant are you?

Life is not about what you have or what you were able to acquire. It is more than that actually. To live a fulfilled life is not the amount you have flowing in that bank account of yoirs. It's about how many lives you touched, sacrifices you made so that people could benefit and so on. Honestly life is good, life is just too good if we realise the way it operates.

I don't know the concept of suffering to people. Most times I hear people say that life is unbearable and that nothing good can come out it and am like... seriously?

We often want things to come and go just how and when we want them, countless occasions life has never been what we want them to be thus, it is hard for People cope and be stable till the end.

Talking about life in service to others; it is not new that what everyone want is something that would stand to benefit them. Well it is natural but for those that have not found the need to be significant in life would ever have the mentality that everything have to benefit them alone.

Have you thought of what happens when you are old and can not struggle anymore, even your bones are old and all the money you have is not enjoyable anymore? Then you think and ask yourself- "what was I able to do significantly and what was it I did differently?"

Trust me, time would come when all you think about is the opportunities you never got to help, the ones you intentionally missed because you were busy collecting more wealth for yourself alone.

The thing that matters is giving yourself away to find yourself.

Mahatma Ghandi said that the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. Self service is thinking of others first before self. Helping others rise and not feeling bad about it. It is about making others feel more important than self.

What we should think about people is not the bad in them, it is the good we know that lie within them which somehow they have refused to ignite and have allowed to quench without anyone to rekindle them.

When we know that we were made for one another, to bring joy into other people's lives and not ours alone; then we would begin to let in into a better understanding of what happiness really is. We need each other to get there. If you feel you have done so well for yourself, what have you done for others?

This is not a question of- "are you kind?" Already by default we were created to be. But people would say-"am being careful", I can't help because am being careful. Yes one has to be careful but do not lock your heart so hard it becomes.

My final note here to you would be to strive to be significant through the service of others. That is the best way of find your true self.

Exercise
To start a life of service to others, try being generous with your time, resources and speech. It starts with nice comments, appreciating others and being polite.

You can also add the practice of sharing and giving out to few people in need around you. Counsel the doubt and inpire those who are discouraged. I bet you, this could be your step to serving others and being significant.

Never think that nothing goes for nothing, for every little work of mercy you do there shall be good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over added unto you. No matter how small, start today. Till I come your way again, remain inspired.

exercise really uplifts our spirit. I hope many more people to be motivated.

Wow I miss this so much from you @gloglo and you're just so right, the truth is sometimes people do not really key into what's necessary most times they feel they life's too bad when they don't even see opportunities where there seems to be non

These words touched me. What is life if we do not live for others? A popular hymn says, "we will only be remembered by the works we have done while on earth".

If we dont make others happy, we cant be happy ourselves. We have to lose ourselves, to find ourselves. This is very inspirational, thank you for the exercise aspect @gloglo, ill sure try to practise it.

I upvoted your post.

Thank you.
