People share everything on social media these days. People usually share the happiest moment of their life. Pictures and videos show that they have a nice life. But the reality can be different. Sometimes people do different things only to share on social media.
It looks like whatever you share on social media, that belongs to that social media. They can do whatever they like. They can sell your information. You will be targeted based on everything that you share on social media. And it becomes easier to manipulate your opinion.
Sometimes people are under stress and depression. Social media can be a cause of that. What people see on social media, they assure that is true. People start comparing themselves to others. That makes people unhappy and sad.
Fake news can spread easily on social media and it goes viral. That has a negative effect in our society and life.
You can use social media for free. Frankly speaking, it is not free. You are not paying in the form of money, but you give your personal and private information. They show you ads based on your information. It is as if you are the product of social media.
These are the most annoying things about the social media platform I use most often.
