I know I am a little late with this as the NBA Finals started last night, but I am very interested in this series.

I can not even explain how happy I am that the NBA didn't screw this up and ensure that the OKC Thunder made the Finals again. I was very nervous about half way through the Western Conference Finals that the referees would be give orders to continue to force Victor Wembanyama to play one handed while a conveyor belt of OKC Thunder players grabbed Wemby's off hand every time he was trying to play defense or get a rebound. If OKC had won, I honestly don't think I would have bothered watching the series. But now I get to see even more Wembanya!
The New York Knicks versus San Antonio Spurs is actually a really interesting matchup. While San Antonio has three of the most exciting young players in the game in Wembanyama, Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle and one of them happens to be the best player in the world right now, the Kicks actually math up well. They have a Big Man who can score from both in the paint and from three in Karl Anthony Towns, one of the best scores and most clutch players in the league in Jalen Brunson, and a supporting cast that is built incredibly well to play defense and shoot threes.

While I do think the Spurs have the advantage when it comes to talent, the Knicks play with toughness, have significantly more experience, and had only played four games in 24 days going into last night. The questions was going to be would rust outweigh the benefit of all that rest. Clearly rest won out as The Knicks took over late in the fourth quarter.
But now the series really begins. The Knicks threw the first punch. Now we have to see how the Spurs respond. Can Wemby and his teammates find a way to crack the Knicks' physical defense? If the answer is "no" it is going to be a quick series. If it is "yes" then we might have one for the ages!
Ah the Knicks won? I haven't been paying too much attention because I have been consumed with the Women's College World Series lately. That finally wrapped up last night.
Yeah it was a pretty good game. Who won the women’s series?
Texas took down Texas Tech in two games. It was a best of three series.
I didn't know about the NBA Finals. Perhaps, as you said, the lack of experience compared to the Spurs could be a problem for them. Now we'll have to wait and see how those young guys can manage, being down in the series. Without a doubt, Wembanyama seems to be on another level, but in that first game, perhaps the extra rest worked in their favor against a team that fought hard to advance. Anyway, let's hope it's an epic series and that the best team wins.
Actually I really like that last line “let the best team win”. I’m actually fine either way as long as it is a fair series.
Let's hope it's a series where the refereeing doesn't influence the outcome and favor one team over another, and that the team that does things better wins, taking advantage of any opportunities that may arise in the upcoming games.
I had picked okc to win the outright I thought they would of reached the finals
I do think injuries played a role, but also Wemby is just that good already.
It will be interesting to see how the game goes tonight between the knicks and spurs
Brunson continues to prove why he's one of the most underrated stars in the league. Every time the Knicks need a big bucket, he somehow delivers.
You are 100% right. I honestly don’t know how he does it. And he has to play under the rim. He's small and Hes dominating!
The Knicks definitely landed the first blow, but I wouldn't count out Wemby and the Spurs, in short spurs are my favorites
Only after the arrival of new players does the game start to become different again. Otherwise, people are forced to think a lot after seeing the players that when a player is not performing, why is he being fed? Here too, the selection that is done is due to reference. If there is a merit-based decision here, then it will be much better. All these sports, be it cricket or football, can be very good

I have to be honest, I didn't see the first game of the Finals, but what is important is to understand and base the analysis on the players' physical condition because the Knicks will try to play defense. Therefore, I believe that in most games, the underdog will be the best strategy. Now, picking a winner is complicated, although the Knicks have an advantage in the handicap because allowing +6.5 points is good for those of us who, like me, enjoy a bit of sports betting. Now, without a doubt, the Spurs must come out strong tonight in search of that victory that ties the series and sends them to New York with one win apiece. So, I'll try to watch tonight's game to give a more accurate prediction from my perspective.
Go spurs. I like wemby and want him to take this home. I like that hive still has people making real content.
will be one of the best finals ever :D
The decisive factor in the series could be the New York Knicks' rest period, as they've had less time on the court. They've had to beat Wembanyama and all those talented young players on the San Antonio Spurs, but they must be exhausted since the series against OKC was intense, and that could take its toll. Now, with such a strong defense that won't leave any space, the games will be very close. That first win for the Knicks is the best possible start, and if they get another one today, it would be incredible for them. But I think the Spurs should win today, even if only by a small margin.
Excellent.
Que buen post @hanshotfirst! Me gusto mucho el contenido, se nota el esfuerzo. Ahí va mi voto. Seguí publicando!
Whether it's a final or something else, if the players work hard and play their game a little differently, it becomes much more difficult for the other team to win again. It's wise to play every match differently
