Still going on.

There are days when the body feels heavy and rest feels far away. From a mother’s heart, weariness is real, yet love and duty keep her moving forward, one step at a time.

Still Going On

My feet are slow, my bones feel old,
My eyes grow heavy, tired and cold.
I long to sit and close my eyes,
To leave the work and rest awhile.

But little voices call my name,
And there are needs I must sustain.
I am their shelter, their light, their guide,
The one who walks right by their side.

So I take a breath and lift my head,
Push aside the pain and tiredness.
Though every part of me is worn,
I carry on, I still go on.

Not because I have endless strength,
But because my love has greater length.
Tired as I am, I will not fall
For them, I give my all.
My love, my strength to provide.

It is a quiet courage only mothers know. Even when drained, even when weary, she keeps going — not out of obligation alone, but from a love that never tires completely.
