The snow has kept on falling since the middle of November and it just won’t stop. I love it! This photo is from a couple of days ago and my 2-year old daughter (not an arctic animal) is enjoying some fresh show. Playing in the white landscape with my kids and discovering animal tracks has inspired me to illustrate some animals living in the snow.
First up, the Polar Bear. Luckily we don't have them on the norwegian mainland, but it lives in Svalbard, a big Island north of Norway. People living there can never hike in the nature without wearing a gun. Just in case... I have illustrated a friendly version of it :)
Then there is the more common and not so dangerous Arctic Fox and Arctic Hare, walking around in the woods we often see their tracks in the snow.
Then I couldn't help myself but to try the animals out as a pattern.
