Talking about the various events that occur on Earth, there will be many events that we can discuss and discuss. Natural events that occur on Earth have various forms. Natural events that exist on Earth, for example, rain, lightning, hurricanes, the emergence of rainbows, the emergence of aurora, to global warming, and much more. From various events on Earth, there is one event that we often experience. The event in question is rain.
How The Process of Rain Occurs
Rain is one of the most frequent events on Earth. In my country there are only two seasons, namely the dry season and also the rainy season. The dry season is a hot and hot season, where rain rarely happens. While the rainy season is a season where rain often occurs with high intensity.
So when the rainy season arrives, we will often hear the news of floods everywhere. Rain is the event of the descending of water droplets originating from the cloud which is formed on the event of seawater evaporation.
Since we were in elementary school, we have learned about rain and the process of the rain. Regarding the occurrence of rain alone through a few long processes. But the length or failure of this process depends on the conditions and also the place where the rain occurs. At least each type of rain has different causes. Basically this rain is formed because of several stages / processes, that are as follows:
1) Warming
The process of the rain first begins with the warming caused by the blazing sun. Blazing sunlight will cause various water sources on Earth to warm up.
Warming caused by the sun is natural so that only heating is what can make the rain happen. And in the tropics, namely in the area passed by the equator, there will be more warming than in the area that is not passed by the equator.
2) Evaporation
After experiencing warming, the next is the evaporation process. When we sit in elementary school we have also studied various types of changes in objects. One of the things we learn is that when a liquid is heated, evaporation will occur, ie the liquid will change shape to steam. When experiencing heating, the water source on Earth which is also in the form of liquid will experience evaporation. When these water sources experience evaporation, the water will turn into water vapor in the form of water dots. Then the water points will move upward because they are carried by the wind and also due to the air pressure around the evaporation area.
3) Cloud Formation
After the water vapor formed will rise to the top then over time will form clouds. The clouds formed are clouds consisting of water vapor due to evaporation caused by the sun's heat. The cloud will eventually grow and accumulate. The clouds will be blown by the wind because the higher the wind the bigger it will be. The clouds blown by this wind will eventually accumulate and be in a certain area and altitude.
4) Rainfall
After the clouds accumulate and accumulate into a large enough lump. So because of certain air pressure around the area, clouds that consist of water vapor will experience saturation. Then due to the saturation of this cloud, the water contained in the clouds will eventually fall and become raindrops. This is what later formed into rain. Whether or not rain depends on the intensity of the water contained in the cloud and sometimes also because of conditions around it, such as wind and so on.
Those are some stages / processes of the occurrence of rain. So if my country (Indonesia) only has a rainy season and also a dry season, it is because Indonesia is located around the equator and has a hot tropical climate. The sun's heat received by the Indonesian state is greater than in other countries that do not have a tropical climate. Because there is more heat from the sun received by Indonesia, Indonesia can rain easily.
But there are also things that affect the occurrence of rain in Indonesia because of the west monsoon and also the east monsoon. This monsoon wind is the forerunner to the occurrence of the dry season and the rainy season in Indonesia.
What are the benefits of rain for our lives on earth?
So rain is a natural event that we often encounter in our daily lives. God created a process that is in such a way not without reason. Because behind the rain, humans will get a lot of benefits. The benefits of this rain will be felt by humans and other living beings. Not only living things, but rain will also benefit the Earth we live in today.
If we want to think, then we will find very many benefits of rain, whether we realize the benefits or not. Here are some of the benefits of rain for our lives on earth.
1) Rain can fertilize plants
Rain serves to fertilize plants. This is something that is certain because plants really need water to grow and develop. Because water will act as drinking water for plants. Water that is sufficiently received by plants will cause these plants to thrive and also easily develop.
Therefore we often see that when the rainy season arrives, we see plants will be more fertile than during the dry season. And we can also see that when the rainy season arrives, the environment around us becomes greener and also more fertile.
2) Rain becomes one of the sources of drinking water supply
Even though all this time we have not become rainwater as drinking water. But rain can also be useful as a provider of drinking water. Although we already know that drinking water is usually taken from water sources in the soil (wells) or from mountainous areas, we can also provide drinking water from rainwater. But the rain water that will be used as drinking water needs to be processed first so that it is clean and also avoids various diseases. In addition, the acid levels contained in rainwater also need to be lowered so that it can be consumed safely by our stomach.
By processing rainwater into drinking water we can save on the use of ground water. So that the ground water supply will be used enough for a longer time.
3) Rain as a Source of Electricity
The power of rain can sometimes cause power to be able to generate electrical energy. Sometimes also rain falls causing lightning. Lightning is natural electricity. There are tools that can be used to capture power from lightning and store it as a source of electricity. When we collect natural electricity, we can save a little on making electricity made from fossil fuels which can sometimes be harmful to us.
4)Rain Can Improve Air Quality
One of the most important benefits and functions of rain is to improve the quality of the air around us. The air around us has been heavily polluted by air pollution. This air pollution comes from a variety of things, such as motor vehicle fumes, factory smoke, and the use of several types of electronic equipment that cause certain substances.
So with the rain, the contaminated air condition will be neutralized. Just as when the air around us is contaminated by a lot of dust, then when watering it, the dust will disappear and return to clean.
Those are some of the benefits of rain. In addition to the benefits that I mentioned above, of course there are still very many benefits from the rain that we can feel and enjoy, whether we realize it or not. So, therefore, do not ever assume that rain is a nuisance to our activities, even assuming that rain is a disaster. But rain is a blessing for all nature, both for living things like humans, as well as for other creatures, including the earth.
