Descubierta en el año de 1848, esta mina permitió el intercambio cultural, social, economico, y deportivo entre la poblaciones de Naricual, Barcelona, Puerto la Cruz y Guanta, en lo que conocemos hoy como el Estado Anzoátegui Venezuela, gracias al ferrocarril construido para transportar el mineral de carbón al Puerto de Guanta en la localidad de Volcadero donde se encontraba el Puerto marino para ser enviado al exterior.
Discovered in the year 1848, this mine allowed cultural, social, economic and sports exchange between the towns of Naricual, Barcelona, Puerto la Cruz and Guanta, in what we know today as the Anzoátegui State of Venezuela, thanks to the railway built to transport the coal ore to the Port of Guanta in the town of Volcadero where the marine port was located to be sent abroad.
