Shirley Jones Doll

My mom said she had a paper doll or dolls based on Shirley Jones who starred in the Oklahoma movie in 1955 when mom was turning four that year. The paper dolls probably came out around 1956. Mom thought she got the doll or dolls at least by the time she was seven in 1958, approximately that year. She thought she no longer had it when they moved in 1964.
When mom moved from Beaverton around 1964 before her 13th birthday, she said she didn't bring a lot with her including this doll. Her mother must have said she was going to get rid of whatever she didn't pack. My mom probably didn't pay close enough attention which led to her not packing many things. And her mom probably assumed she understood as Brian and Karen probably did. But my mom was a bit different than them in some ways. Probably in around 1963, they moved to Eugene. Later on, they moved to Roseburg and stayed there for years. My mom's parents continued living in Roseburg until they died decades later. Well, my mom's mom died in around 1968. My mom's dad and step dad lived in Roseburg until they died decades later. My mom was born in 1951 in Seattle. My mom moved to Beaverton when she was like three or something. So, mom lived in Beaverton for like ten years or maybe longer to 1964 meaning her first half of her childhood. She had memories of Beaverton, the places, the people, activities, events. The Partridge Family was on TV on ABC from 1970 to 1974. The mother was played by Shirley Jones who was an actress and musician, she was born in 1934. Paper doll.

Dear diary journal blog, I got up at 11:30 AM. Forget dreams. Breakfast, 11:41 AM. Lunch, 01:00 PM. Dishes, 04:24 PM, compost, mail, I see a squirrel out there getting nuts under the giant trees in our yard. Back here at 04:10 PM for evening vitamins. More lunch around 5 or 6. TikTok dance videos in the kitchen around 7 to 8. 2 Oreo cookies. Vanilla ice-cream. Dishes. Shower. Dinner, more of that soup from lunch, 09:00 PM. Food log: Breakfast: coffee, 11:41 AM. Lunch: salad was good, 01:00 PM. Green beans on soup around 5 or 6. Dinner: more of the soup from lunch, 09:00 PM.
