RE: People employed by huge corporations, what’s a "secret" the company wants under wraps, even though basically everyone inside already knows it?

The policy where all emails vanish after 30 days isn’t because storage costs too much, it’s about shielding ourselves from regulators and discovery.

Whenever Raising Cane’s launches a fresh store they serve noticeably bigger chicken pieces than what that same location gets once it’s been open about 6 months

RE: What’s something totally legal to profit from that feels criminal the first time you hear about it?

I’ve looked this up and I still don’t get it. Could you maybe explain it to me like I’m 5? I work in sales and marketing so I’m not dumb lol but for whatever reason my brain just…

Credit Default Swap. And it’s not borrowing against anyone defaulting. It’s basically insurance on a debt. Someone pays a premium so that if a default happens, they receive the balance.

RE: What’s the best piece of advice you’d give a guy in his 20’s?

Not a financial advisor, but… Borrow “The Simple Path to Wealth” from your local library, it’s a quick read and will set you up with a solid strategy for a comfortable…

Also learn to cook healthy meals and count calories. If you want kids, don’t wait until your 30s. You’re never going to feel "ready" whether financially or otherwise so do it…

I really wish I had put even 20 or 30 bucks a month into a Roth IRA or even a HYSA/money market acct. It would’ve felt like nothing and I’m still doing alright at 40, but those…

If you invest $1000 today and retire at 65, it is expected to grow to $13,000. If you put in $1000 today and $100 every month until 65, it’ll be around $275,000.If you put in…

Also, if you start making more money later, don’t rush to level up every part of your lifestyle. You’re better off investing more while you’re young before you adjust to a more…

That stuff seems minor in your 20s but your future self will be really thankful you began early
