Grandma and Grandad you put a smile on our face,
whatever the time whatever the place,
although you're not good on a staircase,
there is nothing about you that we would erase.
Whenever you're around we have many good times,
there is that many to think about... more than our rhymes,
sitting in our places at meal times,
coming down on boxing day after the Christmas bells have chimed.
Thank You Grandma and Grandad for everything you do,
we're not just saying that... it really is true,
you're an inspiration but that isn't that new,
the thing is we're spoilt with grandparents like you.
Thanks for reading! We created this poem as a way of showing our appreciation for all the effort our grandparents put into filling our lives with so much joy and happiness. It appears a lot to us that grandparents (much needed help) go often with little recognition. So, we just wanted to reassure all the grandparents out there that their help is appreciated significantly more than they think and they are loved very dearly.
