De todo el #BloggingChallenge, este sin duda será uno de los post que más pensé y trabajé, porque es uno de los temas en los cuales más he pensado durante años, y es que para abrirme un poco más y que me conozcan mejor, soy un «prepper» desde aproximadamente los diez años de edad; Debido a uno de mis mayores miedos, y a su vez a uno de mis sueños más profundos que es ser corresponsal de guerra, desde muy pequeño y junto al apoyo de mi familia, siempre he sido el más «prepper» de la familia, siempre he dicho que quiero estar preparado para cualquier eventualidad, y vivir conmigo es en algún momento conocer que siempre tengo en algún lugar un morral con una muda de ropa, vendas, cuerdas, velas y otros artículos que considero indispensables a la hora de sobrevivir, es tal el nivel que tengo, que mi familia cada cierta cantidad de tiempo me regala un instrumento muy útil y que desde que lo obtengo lo uso prácticamente a diario, lo que vendría siendo un multi-herramientas, o para que tengan una imagen en la mente, algo parecido a una navaja suiza.
Entrando en tema, para elegir tres objetos y quiero destacar lo de objeto, porque de no ser así mi primera elección sería llevarme a mi papá, con eso ya te sobrevivo hasta que en Venezuela exista democracia, pero como son objetos lo mejor que creo se puede hacer es analizar todo el panorama, y entender que es lo que realmente vamos a necesitar, y no podríamos obtener; Mucha gente pide un cuchillo o un machete, yo pediría mi multi-herramientas, porque lo necesitaría y utilizaría para trabajo minucioso, trabajo delicado y de precisión, para el trabajo bruto y que requiera herramientas más grandes, hay que pensar como llegué a la isla, ¿En un avión? ¿Producto de un naufragio? uso los restos del siniestro, y en caso de haber llegado a la isla por mi propia voluntad (Cosa que no creo porque no me gusta la playa) entonces siempre puedo encontrar piedras, maderas, coral y otros elementos naturales que me ayuden en mi travesía.
Lo siguiente que quisiera tener es un pedernal, pues a pesar de mi instinto de supervivencia, no cuento con demasiada paciencia y soy muy vulnerable a la frustración, lo cual derivo en que a esta altura de mi vida, no sé hacer fuego con rocas, ni con palos, por lo que ya me veo en la isla gritando como Tom Hanks en el náufrago. Y el último objeto que llevaría, luego de mucho debate, creo que sería una cuerda de paracaidista, o también llamada cuerda de 7 hilos o Paracord, una cuerda que sirve para hacer amarres, nudos, soporta más de 2 toneladas de peso y a su vez se puede desarmar en sus filamentos para hacer costura y trabajos más delicados, por lo que se considera un artilugio vital para un sobreviviente.
Con esto creo que podría estar en una isla desierta el tiempo necesario con comodidad y evolucionando con el pasar del tiempo, me faltarían otros elementos como la interacción social, pero creo que incluso adoptaría a un pez o algo para no sentirme solo, el caso es que con estos tres elementos yo estaría feliz y contento, ¿y tú que llevarías a la isla?
Of all the #BloggingChallenge, this will undoubtedly be one of the posts that I thought about and worked on the most, because it is one of the topics that I have thought about the most for years, and that is that to open up a little more and be known better, I am a "prepper" since approximately ten years of age; Due to one of my biggest fears, and at the same time one of my deepest dreams which is to be a war correspondent, since I was very young and together with the support of my family, I have always been the most "prepper" of the family, I have always said that I want to be prepared for any eventuality, and living with me is at some point knowing that I always have somewhere a backpack with a change of clothes, bandages, ropes, candles and other items that I consider indispensable at the time of survival, is such the level that I have, that my family every certain amount of time gives me a very useful instrument and that since I get it I use it almost daily, which would be a multi-tool, or to have an image in the mind, something like a Swiss Army knife.
Entering in topic, to choose three objects and I want to emphasize the object thing, because if not, my first choice would be to take my dad with me, with that I will survive, until democracy exists in Venezuela, but since they are objects the best thing I think can be done is to analyze the whole panorama, and understand what it is that we are really going to need, and we would not be able to obtain; Many people ask for a knife or a machete, I would ask for my multi-tools, because I would need it and use it for meticulous work, delicate and precision work, for rough work and that requires larger tools, you have to think how I arrived on the island, in a plane? Product of a shipwreck? I use the remains of the wreck, and in case I arrived to the island by my own will (I don't think so because I don't like the beach) then I can always find stones, woods, coral and other natural elements to help me in my journey.
The next thing I would like to have is a flint, because in spite of my survival instinct, I don't have much patience and I am very vulnerable to frustration, which results in that at this point in my life, I don't know how to make fire with rocks, nor with sticks, so I already see myself on the island screaming like Tom Hanks in Cast Away. And the last object I would carry, after much debate, I think would be a parachute rope, or also called 7-thread rope or Paracord, a rope that serves to make moorings, knots, supports more than 2 tons of weight and at the same time can be disassembled into its filaments to make sewing and more delicate work, so it is considered a vital gadget for a survivor.
With this I believe that I could be on a desert island for as long as necessary with comfort and evolving with the passage of time, I would lack other elements such as social interaction, but I think I would even adopt a fish or something so as not to feel alone, the fact is that with these three elements I would be happy and content, and what would you bring to the island?
