Colorado Waters
The waters lay still as night, with
The beauty of the moonlight upon its presents.
The surface looking like a view from a fairy
Tail that one hears on a cold winter night
Next to the fire place.
What beauty. Beneath the still waters
Lies a current worth seeing. She moves
Through the mountain tops, and down through
The valley of gorgeous green pines and blueberry
Aspens.
What once looked so still is now a
Stream spreading through the beautiful
Colorado lands. Creating life with her pure
Waters, and building a picture worth
Painting.
She is as soft as a snowflake, but her
Strength is of a thousand men. She carves
Beauty into the Colorado mountains
And soaks up the light of the sun shining
Bright.
She is that which gives us the gift of life. She
Grants us with her crystal clear streams
And waterfalls worth capturing. She is the
Beauty of Colorado.

....I would love to. My mentor was the director of the medical marijuana campaign there like a decade ago. His name is Martin Chilcutt, he lived in Denver. :)
