Why I Create Content

in DTube4 years ago (edited)

It has been a crazy few weeks for all of us, and I've been having an interesting experience with my content. Unfortunately most of what I've been writing and talking about for the last few weeks has been this Coronavirus plandemic, and all the government power-grabs and crackdowns it is the justification for.

I guess it's been fun in some ways, chasing all sorts of stories, reading TONS of studies & papers, keeping up with an ever-changing data-set, while watching the official narrative stay exactly the same, and unfortunately realizing that my estimate for the overall intelligence of the human race was drastically off...

I think the highlight has definitely been the many people thanking me for doing all this digging and fact-checking, number-crunching and source-citing. It made me realize, I haven't really explored before, why it is that I do this (create content.)

@dtube is still not actually plugging my videos in for some reason

I feel like there are really two categories of reasons that I create content, because there are basically two kinds of content that I create. On the one hand, much of my content is simply me sharing my journey, my trials & tribulations, and the things that bring me joy. On the other hand, much of my content is research, digging into the things that most people aren't aware of (or have completely false narratives around) and helping to shine light on the truth.

Both of these types of creation are generally enjoyable, I appreciate the very different feedback and interaction they give. Certainly the research end of things can get a bit challenging sometimes, as I delve into things that can shake my trust in the good of mankind, in the idea that the arc of the moral universe bends towards justice.

Just keep searching for the truth, even when you think it isn't worth it. While the majority of humanity isn't worth it, because they don't want to know, the few you find that you connect with are worth it.
