    It is true we can't predict the future, especially in uncharted territory.

    There are many possibilities...

    1. Social media could lose popularity and be replaced by something else. Myspace (founded 2003) had it's lunch eaten by Facebook (founded 2004).
    2. Competitors like Synereo and Yours could steal the show.
    3. We live in a fast paced world. Bitcoin only appeared in 2008. Who would have anticipated 100s of alt-coins and things like Ethereum. Steemit itself is lightyears of progress. But then consider Bitshares - a hulking monster scheming to take over the planet like a Rothschild to the tune of umpteen trillion dollars of derivatives.

    If things were to just plod along as usual, we could just sit back and wait for Steemit to excell, but these are times where disruption is the norm and who knows what is around the corner. At least, we live in exciting times.

    Yup.. lets hope an open community (even non-techie people) on this platform will do great wonders for the platform itself :)

      Building strength in beta... 2017 will be a big year for UX evolution, growing the community and ultimately, long-term success. Here's hoping for much steem... very ned... many blockchain... wow!

        It is! I just wish I have more time and steemit has its own self sustaining village somewhere that I could hang out once in awhile :D

            There's been some drama surrounding Synereo lately. I haven't delved in too deep because I wanted to see how things would fair, but a key member leaving and CoinFund's article about investor refunds I hope to see things a little brighter on their end. However the fact remains that I quite enjoy Steemit and if we can get the message out there and acquire more Steemians I feel confident that Steem will have a strong stance in the future, but of course, only time will tell that story.

            Love the Rothschild drop. Not too many people familiar with the family controlling half of the world's wealth.

            It'd take like a month to fully soak in and comprehend the possibilities for Steem.. at least that's my experience through writing and understanding the platform back when I first adopted it :)
