What a day. What a day! I’m just sitting down to write at 2:00a.m., and when the Hive posts are coming in at this hour or later, it’s because the day, and night, were stacked. My morning was packed with errands and that’s what its been like since I got back from Los Angeles. Putting out dumb little fires. My Eufy smart tumbler mechanism died, locking me out of my garage resulting in a $155 locksmith call, just to push a drill through a $250 lock. My house started smelling like a sewer because of a split join in the main pipe. It’s been trying, and although I’ve felt overwhelmed, I’ve been getting through each crisis one by one.

Over the weekend, we all celebrated together at Dave & Busters. Not sure if that’s a national thing or just a Minnesota thing, but its a giant arcade, more or less for adults. There’s a sports bar connected. Almost 20 of showed up including @lovejoy. Always nice to see him. @bryanpolitte made it and so did his brother. He and I sat down at a table for Magic The Gathering. Charlie, another guy that showed up brought a Commander deck as well. This was the first time I’ve played paper magic in almost a year. It was a lot of fun. I’ve been playing Arena a lot more lately and just ranked up to Platinum tier.

If I’m taking the opportunity with this freewrite to fill you all in on details as mundane as my MTG Arena rankings, I’ll also tell you about the most recent level up in my life. The 240V Tesla charger was finally installed in my garage. I didn’t realize until now how much I needed this with the Model Y. The car has been excellent since I drove it off the lot, but the charging situation has offered some compromises. Charging with a standard adapter would get me about 20% in roughly 24 hours. Now, I can go from 20% to 80% charge in three hours or less. Game changer!

Lastly, I’ve been reflecting on this last trip. Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The first time I’ve been on the road in over a year. I made some outstanding photos, like this behind the scenes shot of Emily Boring. Sadly, my Z6II is on its way to the Nikon service center for a failed shutter speed dial. That effects the projects coming up, like a big two day shoot with my friend Moustache Jim and Farah of Lovely Organic Apothecary. We’ll be offering sessions with clients splitting time with me shooting digital and Jim shooting film. Fortunately, I have my D750, so that’ll be getting me by.

That is awesome about your supercharger. I can imagine that will make quite the difference! Especially when you aren't out travelling and just spending your days moving around town. I have never seen a Dave and Busters in Michigan, but I know they have them in Ohio. That doesn't mean there aren't any in Michigan... :)
We have a Dave & Busters here too! That supercharger sounds amazing Lars!
It’s been a really big deal with the Tesla! I love it.
