The person and his organs of vision, or rather the ability of the brain, distinguish only familiar objects. According to Endel Tulving, semantic memory is necessary for the use of linguistic means and is a system consisting of elements - knowledge represented by words and other verbal symbols, their meanings, relations between them, as well as the rules for the application of these symbols, concepts and their connections. Semantic memory does not capture emotional reactions to external factors, but is able to store them in the form of neutral knowledge (Wikipedia).
Semantic memory (from Greek σημαντικός - "denoting") is a system of declarative memory for fixing, storing and updating generalized knowledge about the world.
