Brainwashed to the Bone

Welp, the government has fucked us worse than I thought.

Thanks to the magical indigenous brew of Ayahuasca, I am currently entering a stage of my life where I am starting to understand my subconscious on a deeper level and due to that I am experiencing deep compassion for even the darkest of humanity. I've come to some realization that every single person on planet earth has a beautifully divine center full of gentleness and forgiveness. The only problem is that, as humans, we end up building walls of protection (from past traumas and pain) around this gooey center to protect us from painful experiences that could happen in the future. I should mention that a lot of this is happening on a subconscious level. And we don't really understand our subconscious mind very much, because low and behold, substances that help us to understand our subconscious mind are illegal. Big surprise there (sarcasm).

Our subconscious mind is a big, complex place and it is doing things underneath the surface that we don't understand or get to see because we have been trained NOT to understand, or even TRY to understand our subconscious mind. And unfortunately, the stone walls of protection our subconscious builds also seal us off and disconnect us from genuine human connection with ourselves and others. I'm thinking that the government wants exactly that; for us to be disconnected from ourselves and others. It makes perfect sense to me.

Unfortunately, with highly advanced tools we probably don't even know exist, it should come to no surprise that the government probably understands the human subconscious better than any other entity. And a powerful entity knowing exactly how to manipulate the one thing that makes us who we are is quite disturbing.

The media is constantly shoving horrendous crimes and negative (and oftentimes fake) news stories in our faces on a day to day basis. There are subliminal messages thrown in every corner of every advertisement we've ever seen. We are programmed to believe that alcohol and caffein and strip clubs and whatever else is normal for the psyche. We are told that the world is dangerous and that if we just go to college and get a conventional job and live a conventional life with a house payment and a car payment and school loans and kids and all we have left to look forward to is week long vacations and the day we retire, we will be safe.

When I woke up to the truth of the nature of our government, and started living a more organic lifestyle, I thought I was in the clear. I guess I forgot that I have been programmed since day 1. It wasn't until my last ceremonial journey that I realized I have 27 years of government programming to de-program from. And all this programming is the reason why I have excessive mind chatter. Why is it hard to meditate? Because of mind chatter. It's the main reason why people don't sit down to meditate. And this mind chatter is what keeps us from realizing our true potential as human beings. We have to learn how control our mind, but that's incredibly challenging when we have unknowingly let a hidden entity control it since birth.

We humans are such a beautiful, complex species with unlimited potential and a divine, gentle, beautiful, forgiving nature at the core of our being. And sadly, most people have not realized their true nature because government does whatever possible to stop us from realizing what we really are, and they do it by using our own subconscious as a weapon against us. It's rather disturbing to think of it this way, but it shouldn't be surprising.

Why are psychedelics illegal? Because you experiment with different parts of your consciousness. And when you start to have an understanding of your subconscious mind, it is much harder for governments to control you. You don't even have to take psychedelics to understand your subconscious. Get a dream journal and start writing down your dreams. Stop running from your emotions. Sit down and have the patience to try and understand them. Because when you start to understand yourself, you start to understand others, and you become more forgiving (towards yourself and others). And this is exactly what the government DOESN'T want.

We don't have to fight. We don't have to do anything violent, and that goes for words too. We can battle without lifting a finger. All we have to do to render government obsolete is start to understand ourselves better. That is when we find peace of mind, and we can project that peace outward into the world, and others will eventually follow because it is more comforting to be around someone who is caring and forgiving and gentle than it is to be around violence and anger and fear.

Outstanding narrative. ☆☆☆☆☆😎

The media is merely a reflection of the audience not an evil force.

Maybe, but the media responds to consumer demand and addiction to the sensational and the dramatic - that does not absolve it of its potential or responsibility to raise awareness rather than capitulate with misinformation and the downward spiral - does it?

I find the claims of misinformation and fake news about the MSM to be mostly hyperbole.

Great share, thank you. Will rEsteem!

Upvoted, Macey. Great read

I really enjoyed reading this in a way which is not that common on steemit or anywhere in general. Definitely followed you and upvoted, HOWEVER.. I have a big disagreement with your ultimate conclusion.

We don't have to fight. We don't have to do anything violent, and that goes for words too. We can battle without lifting a finger. All we have to do to render government obsolete is start to understand ourselves better.

That's admirable and, on some level I agree that we need to understand ourselves better first, but.. How do you propose we peacefull co exist with the kind of monsters we have in power who seem to take pleasure in dominating and controlling the world and keeping it down?

How are you going to convince the predators to stop preying on their prey? They have all the jets and tanks and nuclear weapons and biological weapons and sattelites and technology we don't even know exists, why would they suddenly give all of that away? Power rarely EVER lets go willingly.

I just.. I don't see it. Even though I myself work towards the goal of education and communication and trying to move towards a better world without the use of violence, I just don't know how we can do that with the people in power who are in power.

They won't let us peacefull coexist, if we were to create a break away civilization, they would fuck with it because they want as much power as they can get, and they don't trust others with that power. So.. I think you're saying some really great things and you're really humble to admit and acknowledge that you were indoctrinated in a lot of ways and you seem to be making a good effort to reflect on that, but.. I just don't see how this is going to end peacefully, and I've been thinking about this problem for well over 10 years now.

I personally think there is going to have to be a civil war on the inside among the high levels of government and secret societies.. I don't think there's any other way.. but.. I guess time will tell and I hope that we can evolve from all this peacefully and that the corrupt rulers of this planet will willingly lay down their desire to aggressively enslave others and dominate to the extents they are capable.

PS.. Assuming we even live long that long, it might be too late already.. Some scientists have predicted we have less than 10 years before we extinct ourselves.

no need to convince anybody to change - as you say, they will not relinquish control - but that does not mean we can not reclaim our divinity and power simply by opting out of the system in which we remain complicit. i.e - think outside the system, re-balance our economic and consumptive behaviours... decentralised information base, non hierarchical blockchain (transparent) technology, opt out of indentured credit systems, etc, etc - with out our complicity, the power structure is a house of cards - @maceytomlin's point about enhanced states of consciousness - conflict or power struggle not required - that's the old world model we seek to evolve out of ;)

Okay well good luck reclaiming your divinity when the predators in power don't want that to happen and will use force and violence to stop it. If you haven't noticed the power structure gets into virtually everything and corrupts it and no matter how much we try to evolve and create new and free systems like block chain and steemit, they will find a way to clamp down and control it. And they always will do this because they are parasitic in nature.

Power rarely lets go willingly as I mentioned, usually it keeps a DEATH grip on it's power like soldiers have been known to keep a death grip on their gun even after dying or losing their arm.. The hand still clenches and refuses to let go.

I guess using that metaphor, eventually the severed hand will turn to dust and crumble, but in this world, it's not that easy cause the power structure keeps their power from generation to generation in the families of occult leadership.. IE, they perpetuate themselves indefinitely. They might have been the same tyrants from thousands of years ago and might be the same tyrants forever if people don't figure out a way to stop it.. And I don't think just trying to separate yourself from their corruption is enough.. Because, their reach is so overwhelming you would basically have to hide out in the forest away from civilization somewhere and then you'd still be on their sattelite radar.. There's basically no hiding or running away and separating, and there's likely not a peaceful solution, and if it comes to violence we will probably lose because they have all the technology.. So.. Really.. It looks grim, and I think we need a miracle.. And, I don't think just developing new and more free technology is enough, they will corrupt it, they need to be confronted. Somehow! And I'm not advocating civil war or violence, but.. I just don't see them ever letting go willingly or without a fight.. So.. I guess we'll see what happens. I hope you guys are right and that we can just "evolve" into a better world, though I have a feeling.. The elite in power are going to be the ones evolving to a better world, and we're going to be the expendable ones left behind, or worse...

I respect your viewpoint, having felt similarly myself in the past - and that is indeed how it seems on the surface - but I for one have changed my perspective - not because I think you are wrong about those who control and manipulate the world - that is evident to those with open eyes, but because I do see and chose to believe in their (perpetrators) unwilling decline through obsoletism - and the drawing to a close of a long era.

That doesn't mean it might not be ugly and messy, particularly so long as we remain complicit and capitulate, but I still don't see seeing through a glass darkly as part of the solution, nor do I see resistance as a solution as that still means being complicit in a losing two way tug of war as you describe. Redistribution of power is redistribution of power though, bypassing the problem - and that IS happening at a basic level in spite of how dark it looks when we consider the Matrixian grasp of the "intelligence communities" and the corporate-military-industrial motherfucker complex.

But blockchain technology is biomimetic as I see it, and Life, and all true evolutionary processes, thrive on innovation - we simply can not continue on this current trajectory without destroying life on earth as we have known it, and the profound forces of nature can not sustain such a trajectory - so although I am not making this a particularly self sufficient argument, by definition of the nature of the evolutionary principle - change is inevitable! It is happening at ground level. We just gotta add to and be apart of that change!

Change is inevitable, but will the common man be a part of it and will it be a positive good change for the species in general and freedom andlove? Or will we go extinct while those in power continue to cling to their power and survive in their underground bases while the topside is wiped out?

I'm not sure anyone knows, I'm glad you believe it will be a positive outcome, and I still have hope or else I wouldn't even try.. Well.. Maybe I would.. I am pretty stubborn even if things are hopeless, haha. But.. I guess what I'm trying to say is, is that even though I have hope, I think there's more hopelessness in the equation than hope. It seems like we're screwed, but.. Who knows.. I'm a strong believer in the human ability to adapt and part of me believes like you, that some brilliant people will create new technologies that free us.. Though.. I just am seriously skeptical as well, especially considering the history of our world.

your feeling is understandable, but the undercurrent is strong, even though not visible - mainstream consciousness and media focus does not recognise the surge - but that does not mean we are not deeply immersed in a major paradigm transition, in spite of being at the apex of denial and stupidity as a species, the tide is turning and can not be stopped by the most powerful naysayers! If I were wrong, I would still chose to give my attention to solutions oriented potential rather than feed the demons!
