Get up in the morning, get ready, go to work and return by the evening. Most of us do this. This is fine by me although some want more flexibility of working hours.

What about rest of the time. Free time. Supposed to be free but how many of us schedule this so called free time. There is always something to do and we plan in such a way. When everything is done, how many of us relax ? Not many I think. I have seen some getting restless instead of relaxing when nothing needs to be done.

How many people these days have hobbies. The percentage is getting lesser and lesser as we are not in a good mood to pursue these. Its no surprise we are made to work our arse off to satisfy some manipulative people sitting high up. We are meant to achieve targets which are at times unrealistic and end of the day we are naturally so stressed, carry work home and there is no time to relax ourselves. Instead we work for someone who probably is enjoying our time and sweat. We are made to work by the system like this everyday and this is incorporated in our daily lives and by the time we realise it is years.

I am not saying we shouldn’t work but let them don’t touch our personal time and lives. Try not to carry work pressure home, I know it’s easier said than done but we can try and improve our lives. Working from home is an exception.

Planning is good to a point however taking life as it comes has altogether different experience. This doesn’t mean to be lazy and do nothing but doing things which make us happy and relaxed.

Chasing time constantly could make us anxious, depressed and lead to mental health problems. It’s no surprise so much of current working young population have mental health problems but still they push themselves which is great but at some point they break down and lose their job. New people are recruited and they go through this cycle again so the purpose of ‘them’ is served. it doesn’t have to be this way and the change can come from us by choosing what to do with our free time.

Have a great weekend Steemians.

I know exactly what you talk about. I've been in this situation and for about one and a half I'm jobless, living a pretty minimalism life style with the savings I have and hope to earn something in the next bull run...if it will ever come. I do appreciate health and free time nowadays much more than I did a few years ago and wouldn't sell them anymore. No price can match these.

Sorry to hear that
Must be hard
Hope good times are ahead

It's not hard not to work. It's a bit hard to rewire myself towards other ways of income that don't involve stress and to embrace a healthier mind set but I am working on both.

I agree with you on above lines 1000% and i follow it. Whatever work pressure i have in office i don't take it after office hours. A balanced life is very important.
