Yesterday we were all billionaires. Today we are back to 'reality'.
Did having all that 'virtual money' give you pause for thought?
Did it make you happy to imagine what you could have done to help others? Or were you more interested in what it could do for you?
Tomorrow the sun will still rise and we can choose to try again to bring light to the world or selfishly try to enrich ourselves.
Every day is a new start. What we do with our time is our choice.
What makes you happiest?
Be the light
I'm in London at the moment and all I am seeing is people tearing around trying to buy happiness.
We cannot buy happiness but we can maybe help people to be a little less miserable by just listening to their stories and showing them some support.
Be grateful for what we have and what we can contribute to others.
We always have something to give
The most precious gift is our time and attention
Thanks for reading.
Wise words, and I think we can all sit back for a while and reflect on
Sometimes I think it is far too easy to spend so much time trying to get things, or earn money to get them, we forget to spend time with the people we are getting them for.
#thealliance #witness
Couldn't have said it better myself.
The pursuit of money for the 'family' often leads to missing out on the very things that are most important.
The family just need us to be in the present while far to many people try to buy 'a' present to make up for all that lost time that we will never get back.
Wise words@molometer. Got to keep up with the Joneses! It seems that everyone is after ..more $$, bigger houses, faster cars and more women. Part of a C&W song but so true. U&R.
You said it.
That kind of thinking has got so many up to their necks in debt!
It always ends badly but many people have short memories.
I spent all my money on whisky and women and the rest I wasted lol

Thanks @molometer and for the tip.
Haha. Now you mentioned whiskey, The song lyrics are:
It's faster horses
Younger women
Older whiskey
More money"
Tom T. Hall - Faster Horses Lyrics
It did make me ponder what I would do if I really had a lot of money. I've never had any problem sharing the wealth, be it small or large.
Yep it was a great thought experiment.
The daily interest alone on the $68 trillion that I had briefly in my account could put a fresh water well in every village in Africa and India!

Amazing when you think of it that way. So many people without the bare necessity of water. It's nearly unimaginable when you live in a place that has it running and available everywhere.
