Looking at these lovely palm trees you would be right to think that these photographs were taken in some exotic location?
They were in fact taken while sitting in the outside dining area of a Turkish restaurant on the north circular road in London.
For my overseas readers. The north circular road is a ring road around central London. So it was a bit like sitting in a cafe on the peripherique in Paris. Or in a roadside diner on a highway in North America.
If you look carefully at the photos. You may see one of the reasons this place is so popular with families with young children.
It was a pleasant afternoon and the food was good. The kids enjoyed it too.
